You are only allowed 4 rc cars! Decide which :D
Little game...
- imagine you are only allowed 4 rc cars for the rest of your life.
- Why 4? Because it's an even number they would fit on a small shelf.
- Assume you will have spares for each if you wanted to run them.
- You have to keep them forever.
- List your mini fleet and give reasons why...
Mine:
- RC10 World's with hop up's - Last of the metal chassis and looks really cool, simple design, easy to work on, fond memories of adverts.
- Kyosho Optima Turbo - Great looks, very well made, lovely gold details, always wanted one but got a Mid, fond memories watching them race.
- Yokomo YZ-10 - First proper modern racer with easy transmission access, looks like a serious bit of kit, last era I was into rc so some nostalgia.
- Kyosho Burns Turbo - The daddy of all modern 1/8 buggies which everything today has copied at least 90%. Awesome body, wheels, shocks.
My reserve bench (came very close to my list):
- RC10 original
- Ultima Turbo
- Garbo Gepard
- PB X3
The theme with all of these buggies is the same - I owned none of them as a kid (I was lucky enough to have other kits), yet wanted them all. So nostalgia of trying to re-live my childhood is a massive part of the appeal. The other half is appreciating the design and engineering of each model.
Your turn...

Re: You are only allowed 4 rc cars! Decide which :D
Easy enough for me, I raced Losi's back in the 90's and ran all the XX series cars so many happy memories of racing and spending weekends away with my dad:
Losi XX
Losi XXT-CR
Losi XX4
Losi Street Weapon
In fact, I am three-quarters of the way there when it comes to actually having these cars all sitting on the shelf together, with all the upgrades I want to make them look cool, and all of the same livery. I just need to start on the XX4 and I'm done
There's only two other cars i really want - an Optima Mid Custom as that was my first proper RC car that I first went racing with, and a Jrx2 as this car stood out when I started racing. Losi's at the time were very few and far inbetween in the UK, in fact the guy that raced it was actually American but lived over here on one of the aircraft bases.

This is RC10talk.com. Previous 2 did not even have one in the top 4?
1. NIB first run Edinger.
2. Graphite Team
3. Optima Mid
4. T4 5700kv brushless lipo
I would shelf the first 3 and run the crap out of the T4 as I do now.

If I could only have four it would be
1. Some kind of vintage RC10. Maybe my worlds runner or a nice gold pan
2. Tamiya Hi-Lift with MFU unit
3. X-ray touring car
4. Wild willy or midnight pumpkin or something else fun to run

I assume you mean any 4, not necessarily 4 we already have?
RC10 of some flavor (with different wheels, tires, and bodies, this could be a lot of different cars)
Tamiya Blazing Blazer
Kyosho Javelin
Tamiya Grasshopper (it was my first car and I will always love it)

Loving the suggestions so far. Lack of RC10 love noted
Yes... any 4 rc cars in the world, no rules... aside from no 1:1 scale
