ULTIMA A&L NEW SUMMER PROJECT
I found it. I new I had it.
Ok, every part is new.
I want to make an upper plate.
I want an A&L transmission in there.
A question.
What 2.2 wheels will fit this car.

Hi Jerzi. I am envious of this build and I like what you want to do with it. One day I would also like another A&L car. I will watch yours as inspiration.

Re: ULTIMA A&L NEW SUMMER PROJECT
Jerzi, does it have hex drive hubs on it? If so do you need a lot of positive offset in the rear wheels to clear the trailing arms? If you do have a look at HoBao's wheel set part number 11274W. They have the same offset as ofna's CRT.5 wheels. I'll post some pics soon to show what they look like.

Re: ULTIMA A&L NEW SUMMER PROJECT
Here's the photos Jerzi. The first picture shows the Ofna CRT.5 wheel (part number 40867) and the HoBao Mini ST wheel (part number 11274W) Both have plenty of positive offset and the HoBao wheel is slightly wider. The second photo shows the HoBao wheel on my Tomahawk. It has enough clearance so it should work with your A&L trailing arms.

Re: ULTIMA A&L NEW SUMMER PROJECT
Coelacanth, the HoBao wheels measure 38mm width and 56.35mm diameter. They come in a pack of four.

Re: ULTIMA A&L NEW SUMMER PROJECT
Thanks, that's almost perfect. The width is ideal. The diameter (just over 2.2") is typical modern wheel diameter, a bit taller than stock Turbo Optima/Ultima wheel height (that being 2") but would give you a lot of modern tire options. I'll have to get me a set, they'd make good basher wheels.1300GT wrote:Coelacanth, the HoBao wheels measure 38mm width and 56.35mm diameter. They come in a pack of four.

Re: ULTIMA A&L NEW SUMMER PROJECT
Wheels were never the problem when I ran these cars, however tires that overhang the rim (to wide) were a huge problem. Schumacher, even x-pattern tires from losi.1300GT wrote:Here's the photos Jerzi.
