Hand Made Masterpiece

Post by limestang »

I stumpled across this article on a hand made RC truck. It's build like a fine watch - Amazing!!!

http://www.popgive.com/2012/01/incredible-homemade-rc-car.html

Very intricate transmission. Check out the window mechanism - Wow!

It's a shame it's not built more to scale. Definitely restricted to life as a runner:)

Very impressive engineering skill.

Although I would have preferred a far more iconic vehicle rather than something so bland. Perhaps a classic Jeep Wrangler.

I'm pressed for time, and will need to read the info later, but WOW, the detail is fantastic, even the window cranks

That's actually what I like about it. Such a random car to choose to build.

But that's just too ugly, it could never be considered random. That car is on practically every top-10 ugliest cars list known to man. What's interesting is my daily driver, 2008 Pontiac Torrent, is based on that same platform. The Torrent is fortunately a much more esthetically appealing car than the Azturd.

Excellent craftmanship, no doubt.
But WHY the babydoll Chevy and WHY did he build it with a stiff front axle - to my knowledge it´s wishboned and torsioned at the front?

I´ll contact this fellow and tell him off.... In a polite manner, of course
