b4 king pins

im looking at a picture of these on AE exploded view and it looks as if these king pins (asc9622) require screws(asc9645) in the end of them to secure them. Is this correct or is that screw in their diagram for something else.

The screw hold the pin is place. part of the head of the screw cover the pins holding it in.

Have an 870C project and need kingpins. Are they the same size across the models? any suitable out there that are readily available? I was looking around for a screw/bushing setup as a replacement since it seems that tends to be more common.

I wonder if these would fit? Theres a crap ton of cheap king pins on ebay,, but no idea which ones would fit!

Hey all,
I'm using SC10 caster and steering blocks for a custom build and I'm having some trouble finding hinge pins - or rod material to make them.
Apparently AE changed from 1/8 to 0.110 diameter sometime prior to the B4? Anyway, the set is...

I agree with the Porsche needing have the engine mounted in the rear. That's why i wanted to slide a DS chassis uunder a Porsche body...for the rear engine handling characteristics.

Now when i did the Pantera DS...i used a mid engine mounted...

I'm searching for a 3.2mm = 0.125 diam hinge pin with a lenght of 1.03
I think that AE 6227 king pin is 1 , but that is a tad too short for my application.

I have in my boxes one hinge pin that meassures 1,03 in legth, but I do not know whats it...

Hi Guys

what's the best way to remove the thick roll pin that keys in the rims on the old rc10's UJ's? I had one stuck on a car I'm working on right now, and it took much more efforts than needed to remove it, I eventually had to start drilling it...

Here's a pic of the type of pliers I use. You can put a lot of force on the axle shaft with these babies. I think this method has only failed me once on a very corroded pin.

mmh I used first a leatherman and then later on some chunky industrial...

I am trying to remove the pins so I can separate the CVD from the hub carrier. The pins are stuck. I have tried soaking them and freezing them. They are seized!

Any ideas?

Get yourself a pin punch set from the hardware store. I had been using pliers to hammer and yank the roll pins in and out of my axles for YEARS and never tried one (have some nicely scratched axles and topshafts to show for it). I did a few years...

sometimes they are tight and sometimes they are loose. better to shim the play then having them too tight i think. the pins are all the same. no matter which ultima.
