Been collecting these new parts for awhile now since Orange's RC10.2(Seanster ) tickled my fancy. Never really liked the Associated blue, but thought this mix of parts looked good and incorporated a lot of the newer offerings on the latest B4. Hopefully the blue doesn't get too overdone as to try and keep the color mix in check. NCOHOG did a killer job of milling the motor plate to mimic the B4 version.
Plan to use the newest LRP Flow ESC and 8.5 Reedy brushless. Maybe a Sanwa blue servo? Undecided on the wheel selection.
Very cool Bob, I'll be watching this one since I messaged Sean asking about some of the hex adaptor components he used for something I was thinking of.
I think I'll try the regular shock mounting first though I do really like the reverse mount on yours orange. Looks even more B4 inspired. Went ahead and bought the longer front shocks along with Aarons front long tower without the cross brace. Sweet towers btw!
I would love to gets a parts list with part numbers for a build like this. When I got my ReRe I was thinking of doing something like this but wanted to get on the track quickly. Maybe this would make a good summer project!
I just bought a black tub RC10 buggy from tbfoto in the BST section. It has some greenish blue nylon parts. What's the story with these? When I got out of the hobby in the 90's, they still had white parts. How long were they in kits?

Your buggy is already boxed up and shipped out. If I had seen this thread before I shipped it I would have taken a few close up photos for you. I got the buggy with the parts that way. If they are dyed....it was done pretty well. Even the tranny is...
Another box art finished product coming between these two. Hopefully this weekend, time permitting (I really need to prioritize and put Project Scr8p at the front of the list, but we'll see what happens). It should complement my SNIB RC10GT well.

justinspeed79...? You don't actually have to drill the extra holes in the chassis...
No thanks, not right now anyway. I already have the motor mount for my project covered. IMO, this is the best motor mount for a tub chassis GT. :)
i got some sticker material and decided to mess around with it...let me know what you think

ive seen the dinoc stuff as well but it can get expensive and i think it has an air gap in it as well wich some like and dont like. also since its 3m its gonna stick better anyways because of their voodoo secret adhesieve.
I know there is lots and lots of info scattered on here as far as parts go but not much info on how well things work. I'm getting the bug to build an RC10 capable of being in the top of the a-main and would like to hear from those who have built...

So I've been acquiring parts for an old is new type of build. I want to build something that I can possible run at our local track. I've never raced before, so it should be lots of fun.
I want to incorporate as many vintage elements as I can, but...
