What type of plastic was the Marui Galaxy Chassis?

Does any on know if the Marui Galaxy chassis was made from ABS or was it a different plastic?

melt more ABS with acetone and use this to "solder" the broken bits. Then sand. It's darn solid then.

That's actually a great idea! I remember seeing a recipe to make your own home-made acrylic cement by melting chunks of acrylic in acetone...that's the same kind of idea.

Kind of on topic, be sure not to put acetone anywhere near your Hunter/Galaxy wheels, they'll melt. (I had some drab old silver paint on the Galaxy I restored for my brother, and used a dab of acetone to remove the paint. Well, the paint came off real easy...and then some of the wheel surface, too.) :o

Thanks for the info guys. Since the chassis is ABS I am going to do a solvent bond. I will most likely use something like tenax 7R or ambroid proweld. Both of them are MEK based as I understand. These are straight up cracks so no filling is required.
