Novak 410m5 wire question

Post by sandkil »

Hi,

I'm trying to find periodic correct leads (battery & motor wires) for a 410M5 that i'm to restore. Does anyone know if they are available at all (or just the bay).
I would rather prefer the original type wires then today's glossy silicone wires.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Erik.

I am in the exact same situation. Bought a great m5, just need to clean up the wiring. If I come across something I'll let you know.
I'm not like them, but I can pretend...

The 410-M5 came pre-wired with 16awg silicone black and red to tamiya battery plug and blue and black to an associated male plug for the motor.

The wire is clearly marked "NOVAK 16awg". Tamiya battery plugs and associated plugs should be easy to find. Associated plugs are manufactured by AMP.

They have modern prints on em, but they look "ok" in my opinion.
