New Yokomo Find! YZ-10 Pavidis??
I was able to pick this up at a very reasonable price. I believe this is a YZ-10 World Champ Special or a Mark Pavidis edition?? I'm not really sure what the difference is yet. I will have to do some research. It looks to be pretty complete. Needs motor mount and center drive assembly not sure what else?? Also looks like the shocks are not correct but again not sure.
Any help and input would be greatly appreciated

Definitely a Pavidis you have there. Nice find!
The shocks do not appear to be stock. Can you provide more close-up pics of the shocks?

Yes, both kyosho shock. The rears look like the velvets??? and the fronts look like zx5?? Where do you guys find these cool cars! I ended up with a pile of 870Cs,, which are cool enough,, but Im looking for the yz10 and special cars.

I'm not sure that these are Kyosho shocks. The front's look like ZX caps...but all the ZX's I've had are bottom cartridge shocks and I don't see that there, unless they are earlier than what I have had. The rears don't look the part either with that cap system and a (shumacher?) lower cartridge system?rccars4sal wrote:Yes, both kyosho shock. I've always seen associated hard anno shocks on them (except when the Losi drivers were running them pre-xx4)

Unless I am mistaken the rears are HPI shocks and the fronts Kyosho teflon shocks with blue caps (basically the shocks that came just prior to the TwinCap Pros). All from mid- to late 1990s.

The 1. zx5 had twincaps and the last zxs evo lazer had?

Re: New Yokomo Find! YZ-10 Pavidis??
So were the velvets ever available without the lower cartridge? I know that my ZX-5 had non-threaded bodies, and then later I upgraded the barrels to threaded ones- but I don't recall a shock that held the internals in the body

They do look a little out of whack, very long in back, very short in front.
