Yokomo YZ-10 World Champion Special 'Pavidis Edition"
Hi everyone,
I have just completed assembly of my Yokomo Pavidis Edition and thought I would share the finished product with you guys. As some of you know, this was the last YZ10 kit that Yokomo built and was quite special for this reason and also because it was a replica of the same car Mark Pavidis used to win the 1995 I.F.M.A.R. World Championships. Compared to the 1994 YZ10 that it replaced, the Pavidis Edition came loaded with hop-up parts and didn't need much after that to compete at World competition level (maybe the T.C.S. and some Ti-Turnbuckles).
In regard to the actual assembly, building a car of high specification is a pleasure and this car was no exception. Everything went together without modification and fit of all parts was excellent.
The car is box stock and the only item I added was the Yokomo Red Wheel Dots which coincidently helps break up all the black parts on the car. I have had some queries regarding the actual spec. of the Pavidis Edition (colour of certain parts, design of Box-Art) so the photos should help clear up these queries. If you would like larger photos or have questions, just PM me.
I hope you enjoy the photos and any feedback positive or negative is welcome. Thanks.
Vin

Beautiful build. Nice job... love to see cars built instead of living the rest of their lives in their original boxes.
Nice work, for sure.

Thanks guys.
Yeah, I built this from original kit form. I can see where you are coming from in calling me a "brave man" as it is a rare kit. In my defence, I have others that are rarer that I am not sure if I will build but I will try to build most of my kits
I tend to leave the shells of my assembled cars clear but the Masami them shell sounds like a good idea. Maybe for another car

Great work Vin & cheers for the photos, very useful. Interested to see it came with a black wing and not the pink wing of the standard YZ-10. Do you think that was done deliberately by Yokomo to distinguish the WCS edition, or did YZ-10's come with a variety of wing colours? I've got pink, black & white on mine

Thanks for the kind words. Regarding the colour of the wing, my 1994 YZ10 came with the white version pre-drilled and all the other YZ10's that I have seen also came with white wings. I do think it was done deliberately by Yokomo to include the Black wing with the Pavidis Edition in keeping with the all black theme of the car. I haven't seen many complete Pavidis Editions to see what colour wings they came with so I can't back this up. It is possible that there are some Pavidis Editions out there sporting white wings.Great work Vin & cheers for the photos, very useful.
