Worlds Car Spindles - What Thread?
Worlds Car Spindles - Anyone know what the thread is on these? Could it be 5/40?

Re: Worlds Car Spindles - What Thread?
I don't care for the nylon nuts as they are 4/40 being stretched when installed to 5/40.
I instead purchased some steel 5/40 lock nuts that I am going to use.
I will treat them nice and it shouldn't be an issue.

the nylon nuts are perfectly adequate. the design is such that the threads are formed when you install them the first time, so the hole works for #4, 3mm and #5.
Steel nuts are much stronger obviously, but the lock portion of the nut is much much smaller so they have less 'locking' life in them.

Yeah.. I know how they work. I still don't care for them. I would have to say I don't want to have adequate nuts.
