Baja King / Baja Champ wing mounts

Post by dldiaz »

I broke a wing mount on my Tamiya TL-01B (long arm / off-road (Buggy) version of the TL-01);
I believe this chassis was offered as the Baja King, and Baja Champ.

I have a question about the parts tree(s) that include this wing mount.
I found one (1) wing mount on the C-parts tree (# 0005688), as shown here:

*This parts tree sells for around $15, and only has ONE wing mount.

** Does anyone know if the 2nd wing mount is included on another (cheaper?) parts tree???

Thanks!

Unfortunately no. It takes two of those identical trees to build the car.

Bummer!
That means you end up with two bumpers, four servo mounts, etc?
A bunch of extra, redundant parts!

Things like the arms are two piece, so you get one front and one rear assembly. Camber and sterring links, battery holders, etc are all one side. Front and rear bumpers iirc are the same on some.
