Purple Power

Post by JK Racing »

So, quite a while back, I worked with another forum member for some purple parts to get done :)

Image

He isnt the only one whom likes purple...I tossed in some SC10, JRX and B5 stuff as well.

In anticipation of this build, I painted up a body in my Purple/yellow/white, just to get ready - next to my son's B4 body.

Image

The same member had helped me earlier in the year with some custom G10 parts as well. I like G10 over CF for anything other than a black chassis car, those get CF - anything else get G10.

Image

and it has sat...and sat...and sat...until a donor car fell in my lap this week :) nice B stamp RC10CE, all the right white parts I need.

Image

B stamp has been sacrificed and torn down for a quick peroxide bath...not glaring white, just a quick brightening - if the sun comes out and it quits the 'gasp' rain in SoCal!!

I just need to find more cars I can add purple too (other than the body) :) (thinking about tearing my T2 apart now for some love)...

Question to the masses...give me some suggestions on the chassis screws I should use. I just cant bring myself to use the AE gold/green ones. Just wont be right. Not going blue either. Thinking either black or silver (stainless). I dont want to custom order/have produced purple, I do want to break up the color a bit. Already going to have purple, white, silver (semi polish the nose tubes) and black...radio equipment will be black as well as the bleeder shock caps (plastic).

IMO the black looks best. If you can't find Losi black aluminum screws you can get them from fastener express

They have purple too. It's too much imo

Taking inventory to make sure I have all I need...missing shock caps (bleeder caps) and gonna size up the turnbuckles for some lunsford (not the retro, but current/modern ones).

Yes no kidding, but I think it's just a fish eye type lens.
