Mercedes Benz C Class DTM pull start engine?
Mercedes Benz C Class DTM pull start engine?
Hi all, Bit of advice needed.
I've got this Kyosho Mercedes C Class DTM .10 engine powered, but I can't find a manual anywhere.
In fact, i can't find any information on this particular model at all, I know it's from 1993 (printed on the box) and appears to be based on a late optima mid/lazer (same wheelbase and seems to share wishbones and other bits)
So, any more info will be appreciated.
Here are some pics
box
not bad for 22 years old
never been run properly??
previous owner made a start with the body
also do these come prebuilt? box states "partially assembled" how much is done at the factory?
Thanks in advance

The most information I can give you. Is that chassis is based on the, 1/10 Inferno 10 buggy. Which also uses parts from previous cars. A Peugeot something rally type car. But your car minus suspension and top plate is almost identical to the Inferno 10. I have one in my gallery if you want to see what it looks like.

Thanks Todd, yeah it looks very similar to your inferno 10. I just can't understand why I can't find hardly any information about this model online. It's almost like it doesn't exist

Yeah, this is weird. I checked my 1993 and 1994 Tower Hobbies catalogs and I don't see it listed.

To be honest. I doubt its a '93. Thats probably just a copyrite date for something random. That's what year the Inferno 10 debut and that was an all new chassis layout if I remember correctly. I would search in the 95-97 timeframe. They also had an EP version. My guess is it was a very short run near the end of this chassis in certain countries only.

Check the link to my website in my sig, look up the rc car action mag from June 1995, page 52 they have a review of the same GP-10 platform with a BMW body.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

If your car has Lazer wishbones, then it may have a certain suspension upgrade set that was also included with some late GP-10/Inferno 10 models right in the box.
Re: Mercedes Benz C Class DTM pull start engine?
I'm no expert on lazers, these are the front wishbones if it helps.EvolutionRevolution wrote:If your car has Lazer wishbones, then it may have a certain suspension upgrade set that was also included with some late GP-10/Inferno 10 models right in the box.
