Bah Humbug, Traxxas Latrax
Really disappointing, my daughter wanted an rc truck for Christmas to drive around with my son and I. Now she is playing with Barbies after the truck wouldn't steer right out of the box.

Hope everyone else is having a Merry Christmas!

Doh! That sucks!
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

What do you expect when you buy a Latrine?
Traxxas sucks, always has, always will. Sorry for your dissapointment.

Re: Bah Humbug, Traxxas Latrax
post it to traxxas's facebook.
they seem to be a little aggressive in fixing problems people have had lately. like that guy who's brand new xmaxx esc caught fire.

Traxxas didn't ALWAYS suck, just since the TMaxx they ruined the hobby with rtr imo, but there again maybe they saved the "hobby" who knows. Still, someone had to scoop up all that money and sponsor a bunch of different MotorsportsHalgar wrote:What do you expect when you buy a Latrine?

Yeah really sucks. I brought my high end charger with us (Christmas is in FL) but the power supply was acting flaky so I thought I would just use the Traxxas supplied charger. Doh it only works in a car's 12v socket, brilliant.

It sounds like the servo is working but maybe it became detached from the servo horn or something?

I happen to have a 1st gen tmaxx, and I can attest to what a horrendous chunk of garbage it is.GoMachV wrote:Traxxas didn't ALWAYS suck, just since the TMaxx they ruined the hobby with rtr imo, but there again maybe they saved the "hobby" who knows. As to whether they've ruined the hobby or not, no, I wouldn't push it that far, because in today's world of gotta have it now attitude and move on to the next big thing that they gotta have, nobody seems to have the patience to build their own stuff, learn about it, or demand excellence. If you want to blame Crappsas for ruining the hobby, then you would also have to include Tyco and Nikko in that class, since they too have RTT (ready to toss ) products on the shelves. They have found a market segment and a following, can't fault them for that, what chaps my cheeks is the lies perpetrated to sell product.

Same thing happened to rc truck we gave my son. Lasted about 5 minutes then no throttle unless you tap the bottom. Not Traxxas, but equally disappointing. Thank goodness for other gifts to play with.

Hah, ready to toss!
The servo didn't come off the horn, it was stripped. I got a new micro servo the day after Christmas, easy install, and the truck runs great so far. Will post a picture of her driving it.

Cool...she be back in business and ready to roll. I remember my daughter at that age with mine. Took right to it and then hit a poll in the basement and parts went rollin from my mini t. She apparently thought that was fun cuz when she got ahold of the b3 she ran right for the poll .
Can't wait to see pix Adam...and good luck.
