Question about RC Screwz kits

Greetings, everyone! New member here and this is my first post.

I have a very old RC10 gold pan, and now that I know it's a "vintage" car, I don't want to bash it too much and destroy something that I can't replace. Thanks to slotcarrod's amazing post on the 25 yr history of the RC10, I have determined that I have a late Championship Edition with all black suspension arms and black Stealth tranny case. My gold pan is also C-stamped.

What I want to do now while I work on getting a new hobby grade RC10 (the B4.2 or B5) is kinda "freshen up" the old girl before I put her back on the shelf for very limited driving.

I need to find a source for the original dish style wheels. You'll see from the photo that the rear wheels are black. That's not the way it came and I can't find the originals. Any news on where I can find them?

BUT, to my main question. In an effort to harden her up, I've been looking at the RC Screws stainless steel screw set for the RC10 Classic. However, I know that the RC10 Classic was a re-release. Will that screw kit work on my original RC10 CE?

rcscrewz were known to have the wrong angle degree 8/32 screw They package a 82 degree screw, when associated used 100degree. so you have to either re counter sink. or find the right screws.

Team KNK hardware has put the correct degree screw in their kits.

Rc Screws was the complaint

So I ended up buying a screw set from these guys. The finish on these things looks nice, but there is a lot already wrong in the first few minutes of trying to use them.

The first issue I encountered was with the 8-32 flat head screws, The taper on the head dont match up with the chassis which leaves them sticking out from the chassis.

The 4-40 screws. Well it seems like instead of getting the screws with a flat head, They just gave me all those screws in a button head instead. They did give me 4 4-40 screws with a flat head but as of yet, they are too long for anything ive seen.

There are a ton of cap head screws but ive yet to organize them out to see what I was given.

I'm going to abandon the idea.

I just prepped my car to become a shelf queen. Took the oil out of the shocks. Took out the new 2.4 receiver to get it ready to put in a DEX210 that's on the way.

I think the only thing I'm going to do is get a new period correct body and paint it up really nice. Original body is quite beat up and a lot of paint has chipped away.

I am sold on RCScrewz'zzz's TCP set. It works for the TRX1 & 3. No complaints here. A bit pricey but lightyears better than the washer head phillips and coarse thread BS of the OEM set.
