Diff balls

Post by SScott »

I’d like to rebuild my ball dIff. I am pretty sure the RC 10 came with 1/8 inch balls. Is there a modern replacement for these? I have a new set of rings. Thanks in advance.

6 gear car had 1/8" steel balls in the "diff"

Stealth car has carbide 3/32" balls
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

Do you know how many are in each car (stealth and 6 gear)?

I want to say it's 8 for 6 gear, and a dozen for stealth. 6 gear could have more if you used a kimbrough gear or one that has a ton of holes. but the original gear was 8 holes.

Yeah, I counted 8 on one of my 6 gear cars but don’t want to open the trans on my stealth just to count the balls. Lol
