Yokomo YZ10 Parts Sources

Post by Cplus »

Hi there,

I’m currently in the process of cleaning up a ‘94 (that seems the have a fair bit of pavidis spec parts on it) and I’m not sure where to look for parts. Even eBay seems slim and searching google for stores I am coming up blank.

Any tips?

Really its just perseverance , keep checking eBay etc , you have to wait on this forum until your eligible to buy and sell here , see the forum rules but buy and large its just a case of looking frequently on eBay , face book and Craig's list . search for YZ10 or 870c or vintage yokomo , dog fighter etc .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Thanks. Seems patience is definitely the name of the game.

Best start setting up some eBay watch list terms!

Good morning Gents,

Cplus, I feel your pain, as a fairly avid Yokomo guy, 94's are pretty desirable now and stuff is indeed fairly hard but not impossible to come by.

That being said, I am in the midst of restoring a 94' myself and was introduced to a UK based company called Fibre Lyte that does make reproduction Yokomo chassis, battery hold down plates etc. Although I have not personally ordered from and can't comment on the quality or fit, I will likely be ordering some smaller things from them in the near future. I am sure someone else on here knows them or has ordered from them before and can chime in?

There is also Factory Works who is on this forum, he makes some amazing pieces and it may be worth checking out their website

I come for the RC10's but stay for the Yokomo's :P

Fiber Lyte and Factory Works are great sources. Though Fibre Lyte is in the UK and the shipping will be more. Also, they deal in carbon fiber instead of fiberglass so are more pricey. Everything I have received from them is first rate—Factory Works too!

Hey there - yep fibrelyte are excellent. I’ve been aware of them for parts for other cars for a while. Quality is indeed excellent.

We have a couple of local guys (Australia) who do high quality carbon - Paul Sims / BezerkRC is very very good.

Carbon is not so much my issue though! The chassis and top deck are in fantastic condition. Towers are currently the white FRP - but of wear on one, so undecided on those.

Oh, and plastic - anyone had much luck with 3D printing?

I have friends who 3D commercially, so thinking of giving them a challenge on a couple of parts.

I am glad you brought this up as I was curious myself, the inner front diff assembly that hold the diff in place tend to break pretty easily and are almost impossible to find. I am sure others on here would be curious as to the parts you were thinking of testing them out with and if any success I am sure some of us would be interested, especially for some shelfers
