Any updates? Are the diff gears 33 or 35 tooth?

Hey sir, appreciate the outreach, I am actually waiting for a couple of orders I made over the holidays to take this project forward another step.

There have been Soooo many new parts suppliers pop up with options that are better than some of the 3d print options that it allowed me to spend a bunch more money lol.

For those that don’t know that are following along:

RUBRIX Racing carries a lot of FAN RC’s products for those that don’t use Facebook like me https://www.rubrixracing.com/
Vintage Racing Spares carry some hard to find Yokomo parts options https://www.vintagerunningspares.com/
Factory Works…mentioned before but has some new (to me?) YZ10 parts that were hard to find https://factoryworks.com/

More to come soon once those parts arrive :)
I come for the RC10's but stay for the Yokomo's :P

Current projects:
1993 WCS Faux-komo
1994 Yokomo Box-Art
RC10GT Restoration

So I totally didn’t even think about whether the front diff was 33 or 35 teeth, I just threw it in from an earlier car and perhaps that is why the belt doesn’t fit lol (ordered a 33T one so we shall see!) also got the first of a couple deliveries and can wait to finally update this build! (Not all the parts are for this build)

That is referring to FanRC parts at TeamKNK? Its the Rubrix Racing site in particular that isn’t working for me, wondering if something has happened to the site

Hello all. No worries what so ever about a derail, I messaged Rubin about his RUBRIX site being down and will let you know if I hear anything.

Just received some additional pieces in the mail and a shout out to ‘Thai-town’ on eBay for the WCS diff mount that looks amazing and Vintage Running Spares (VRS) for the arms and other bits (my intention continues to be the use of as many non-OEM pieces that can be found).

First up is to replace the rear diff mount assembly, the metal unit being slight lower than the 3d printed version originally used (this was also due to my unusual application and no fault of the actual 3d printed product) which I believe will also help with clearance issues I was having earlier with the cap binding on the bottom of the shock tower.

That rear diff mount, I just have to say was worth every penny, the quality is so good, fitment is amazing. More to come on that assembly, I am missing some parts (correct belts, 33T diffs? Still doing research on what are the correct parts/sizes) and will likely order the complete TCS system once the RUBRIX site is back up (I mean at this point what’s a couple more bucks lol)

Hinge pins were another rare-ish part that now that there are correct year replacements available, allows me to swap out the original ones I ordered from the bay and was trying to make work (they are slightly longer which addresses an issue I came across mentioned earlier about the length causing some issues). Left are the new pins, middle the old 92? ones I was using, right is the rest of the package.

The new hinge pins are making all the difference, along with the correct arms things are looking so much better AND more accurate (if I do say so myself).

So this could very well be user error but it appears either the king pins I ordered were the wrong ones (too long) or the threaded steering components don’t like them lol, might replace with shorter regular screws but for now will leave as is.

More of a test fit at this time but the pins fit perfectly into the arms. Does anyone happen to know the size of the screws from the original 93/94 that hold the outer hinge pins in place? What I used works but I just, ehhh don’t like how it looks.

Those pins look like the ones for the front shock mount. You can use standard m3 hardware with the parts from a Kyosho optima mid probably...
