Anaconda fronts are really a modern style, wide tire. They can be made to work but they will be awkward to install and look a little odd.

I believe that they offer the solid wheel in the wide format.
Crap, well, we'll see how it goes I guess.

A few of us here race off-road at Pit Stop Hobbies in Mt. Joy. We try to have a vintage 2wd buggy and stadium truck class at least once a month. Which reminds me, I need to call the owner about that....

Yes, jwscab mentioned that to me also. I've never been there but Mt. Joy is a solid 45 minutes from me. If I wasn't terrified of being embarrassed by my (lack of) driving skill, I might join you!

45 minutes? Lucky.......... It's an hour and 40 minutes for me.

Well, I didn't know if you were a racer at all, so figured I'd throw it out there.

That's true, it's a bit more of a hike from Northampton.

If any of my new friends from RC10Talk happen to be there on Sundays, my son plays roller hockey near Elizabethtown on sundays also. It wouldn't take much to get me to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, come out early before hockey, hang out for a bit maybe do a few laps or something then head to roller hockey.

So, I've been making progress getting my Team Edition carbon chassis RC10 back together. I got an 81 tooth spur gear on the way. Can anyone recommend a pinion size for use with a 4-pole 4300 kv motor on 2S? Thanks!

It's going to be temperature and surface dependent. If you are running on a dry flat open parking lot at 50° temp you can go fast. Running on grass at 92°, not as much.

I picked up a pinion set from Robinson racing to figure stuff out for myself.
1055 "SIX PACK" Steel Motor Pinion Gears
1/8" / 48 pitch 15T, 17T, 19T, 21T, 23T, 25T $16.75

Start at a small tooth and go up from there. If at the end of the run the motor or esc is too touch go back down one size.

Well, this old RC10 buggy is D-U-N done! Finally got the body and wing painted, wing mount wire bent up and all of it trimmed and adjusted for fit. I freakin love this thing. Thanks to everyone who provided help and advice along the way!
