These are either powdercoated or painted, kinda of hard to tell which. The purple and grey/silver are anodized.

If I remember correctly (and looking at the photo again). That's powdercoating...very nice find!

The reason why I was sure is I haven't seen powdercoating done this thin before, and it is very thin. You can see the silver on each of the edges and also in the Team Losi Performance stamped in the back.

Yeah they look good. Got mine a few years ago. I got mine new in an auction of whole bunch of parts, I was surprised. I hadn't seen it in the pictures at the time I bid.

It looks sweet on my buggy. It is a little beat up now, actually ran about 10 races with it. This buggy isn't some dust collector, it is a dirt collector. :D
I would have to say it is powdercoated. Mine has lots of scuffs and scratches now but it it hasn't gotten down to bare metal yet. I have a bunch of extra motor plates and have thought about getting them powdercoated in some cool color. (not yellow)

Nice find Jay!!

I agree that the powercoating is rather thin on these.

I have one that was "swiss cheesed" by the previous owner...so I don't think it will ever make it on a build unless it was a runner.

highwayracer
