Re: BloodClod's Belt-Drive Yokomo 834B
How time flies... it's been 7 years since I last posted on this project and since then Yokomo has even rereleased the 834B! lol. This project was put into storage as I never got the belt drive to work as well as I had hoped. The main issue was that the drive belt I was using came from a touring car ...

That's a really cool and unique project. I really like it. Nothing more exciting for me than to see new ideas and creativity in buggies.

Bloodclod's FF Buggy
Posting a vid of a custom buggy I built back in 2010... Recently out of storage and taken to our local astro turf track. :) Buggy was originally discussed here: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=14454 (I apologise some of the old picture links are broken) Here's a video I made about ...

1/8 Tekno buggy to monster truck project. :)
I've thought about doing a fun basher monster truck in the style of the old kyosho nitro USA-1, where I use a 1/8 buggy platform as a base for a monster truck. I didn't want it to look like some of the more "modern" monster truck bashers which use low profile tires and have really low slun...

May I know which adaptors you are using to mount the 12mm jconcept wheels to the front axle and uses bearings?

Re: BloodClod's Schumacher Top Cat Project
Thanks Asso_man, I've thought about putting up the parts I've designed on Shapeways but I'm wondering if there'll be issues with fit due to differences in printing tolerances. One possibility is to print the parts out myself to test but given where I live it would end up costing too much to do such ...

Re: BloodClod's Schumacher Top Cat Project
The car gets run on a dirt track that is quite tough and rutted. The chassis bent simply tackling some of the jumps that in my opinion were not really that big. To be fair the tracks of old didn't feature any such jumps. No idea if the vintage top cat was the same, but I don't see why it'd be any di...

Re: BloodClod's Schumacher Top Cat Project
Thanks Dadio. :) I wanted to try to get the car closer to modern day specs so the wheelbase and width was something to tackle. I designed and printed 12mm hexes for the front and rear wheels. I found that a standard 5mm width hex worked just right with 4WD front wheels to get the proper offset. The ...

BloodClod's Schumacher Top Cat Project
Hi guys, how's it going? Been a while since I last posted a project but here's what has been keeping me entertained the last couple of weeks - the Schumacher re-release Top Cat! I was very excited with this re-release at it seems such an interesting car with such a unique front end! Once it arrived ...

Re: BloodClod's RC10 Mid-Motor
That thing looks great! Nice driving as well! Hope the 3D parts last for you. Thanks, I'm a 3D printing newbie so I'm learning as I go along... the way the part is designed and printed makes a difference to the way it handles stress. Version 1 of the waterfall was a different design and has evolved...

Re: BloodClod's RC10 Mid-Motor
Have been busy lately but at the the last run the wire for the wing mount broke after a flip. Interestingly the car still handled pretty good without the wing but of course it was a little hard to adjust the in-air attitude of the car on the jumps. :) Anyways, I had a little time today and had an id...

Re: No 2wd racers? Oh wait!
So I've been "trying" to run this at our local track, but it pushes really bad when going into a corner. I know it's a 30 year old car, blah blah blah. I do know, it's HAS to run better than it does. What are some setings to make it turn better on a medium track? I've so far, got new tire...
