Re: hottest motor for 6 gear trans????

Yea, scr8p is correct on that. A buddy that I used to race with was BAD about using really hot winds in his cars. But, he knew every trick to make a six gear last.

Re: rc10 dogbones

The ones with the delrin balls were in my first rc10 when I bought it. You could not keep the roll pin in them. Thank god the outdrives and stub axles weren't made of alumion!
I have some losi bones for a rc10 that are 90 deg. offset on the ends, but pretty sure they are steel and natural color.

Re: An Observation - What is with wives lately?

Mine has been VERY..uuhh.."manageable" lately. Several months ago she was in that "mood' you guys are talking about. After her third reference in a week about how much I was spending on this "stuff", I told her I would sell all of it off and take up one of my old hobbies aga...

Re: 6 gear tranny...good ....bad....or ugly

The six gear is a dinosaur (overly complicated, a lot of parts that need to be assembled correctly). The stealth is simpler, more efficient, easier to build, rebuild, repair, and find parts for. It has a more sleek, attractive appearence in the chassis. But the sound of six straight cut gears under a load...

Re: how're you all?

Yes, moving is a PAIN. Whats even worse is not buying the home your wife is in love with because she sees all of the,uh,"potential" it has, and you see it for what it is (endless weekends of work and paying the light bill at Home Depot for years!) I was hating life for a while after that o...

Ya know, people are strange.....

Ok, its a given we all do ebay. I was watching an item that went above what it was worth to me. Ok, no problem. But somebody made 11 bids in 3 minutes, 2 bucks at a time! Still isin't the high bidder! Just make your highest bid and get out of the way. This is almost as bad to me as starting a pissin...

Re: Took the old girl out for a spin today...need a part

FYI, just installed a set of GPM rear mounts on an aluminum tub runner project. I had to countersink the threaded holes in the mounts slightly so the screws would seat and pull the mounts down tight. Also, installed the hinge pins and measured the distance across the front and rear, which was the sa...

Re: B4 durability

And the 1 rtr (race spec) B4 I have had any dealings with had MAJOR electronic problems that associated made a truly half assed attempt to repair under warranty. Even after talking to a "tech" about the exact problems it was experiencing, I was assured it was fixed. Well, after it drove it...
