Totally off topic , I printed 4 of these dragons for my grandchildren and a friend saw them and ordered 2 more , its a three core filament that makes the model change colour depending on the angle you look at it .

Here's a pic of after it landed... Resized_20231018_070001.jpeg An internal investigation🔎 was launched after the crash....and the reason was discovered: The left/right and up/down stabilizer rods both broke half way thru the run....this is what centers and and angles the engine and keeps it stable...

It really is between the comical cars for me this month , the Hero in a half shell is very original and I've often thought some of the toy grade bodies were deserving a better chassis , the RC10 just works so well visually and after seeing it wheelie ...... DIY rocking horse manure
I spent a ludicrous amount of time today making one piece of rocking horse manure , I'm missing one diff outdrive for a mini Mustang so I copied one on the mill and lath in O1 tool steel , I still need to harden it but I wanted to test fit it first , its an exact copy except instead of using an 8BA ...

Now heat treated to harden , I was tempted to leave it in oil blued condition to stop it rusting but then I thought no I'm going for authenticity

Just out of curiosity, how do you treat the part to harden it? I have no room to add a lathe somewhere currently, but seeing this make me think about it in my next tool investments (priority at this stage is about an injection press, just because I would be able to do so much things I can't do righ...

Just to eco what others have said , if your going to grow your skills and stick with it then the free version of Fusion 360 is excellent but has a huge learning curve , otherwise Tinker Cad is pretty easy to get started with , both have excellent YouTube tutorials .
