Re: Let’s Build the RC10Talk Community’s Own 1/10 Buggy Kit!
There are a ton of reasons why this is a bad idea.
So when can we start?
Initial ideas.
A 1/10 scale car that would be a dirtoval/ street racer design. Flat plate chassis with limited suspension travel.
Metric hardware.

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC
AE is late to the party for sure, other manufacturers kept kits in production, tamiya and traxxas kept parts for popular kits in production nearly continuously. Most of those kits had little value because you could just buy parts. AE tried doing re-re’s before and fell flat on their face, rpm lost e...

Re: New Off Topic RC Project - Nickel Plating turnbuckles
Not bad results, especially this quickly. 👍 Thanks. This was the get off my ass and see what it’s like step. Next step is to do this well. I’m going to need more vinegar, Most of the recipes I see are for 1 liter. I think the anodes are still in good shape, but I might wear them out making a liter ...

Re: RC10 Championship Edition resurrection
What a great looking kit. One thing to do with older plastics is to soak them in water to rehydrate them. They will be much less prone to breakage if you do that.
Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Re: Eye to eye lengths for 0.56 and 0.71 shocks?
This is my little reference. Most of this was lifted from RCCA a long time ago. Can't guarantee you it is perfect, but it has always worked for me. RC10 BUGGY SHOCK LENGTHS.jpg That is incredibly useful. Thank you very much for taking the time to share. Now I need to find an equivalent for turnbuck...

Re: Vintage Sanyo Batteries
I’d wager if you disassembled the packs and tested individual cells you may be able to reassemble decent packs.

Re: Rc10 6-gear in modern astroturf
Anyone run a vintage RC10 on astroturf? I am thinking of bringing mine as a fun track experiment but I’m not sure if the 6-gear transmission would hold. The class is any 2wd buggy with 17.5t ROAR spec motor. The overall specs seem well within the 6 gear capabilities. The high traction of the ...

Re: Rc10 6-gear in modern astroturf
There are a bunch of folks racing 6 gears on carpet, but only you know how hard you are on your cars. Take it to the track on a practice day. Worse case scenario, a pair of 6613 idler gears are only $8, $12 if you need them shipped... cheap insurance. Good 2.4GHz transmitters come with programmable...

Rc10 6207 Cadillac vs Fan Rc gating and ejection pin marks
I did not properly store my parts. Working to identify my original parts vs new ones. Can someone check if the edinger parts have the same gate and release pin marks? IMG_6933.jpeg The gate point on the original is in the center IMG_6934.jpeg The ejection pin points are all along front edge of the p...
