After my Ultima ( suffered a moderate damage during a bashing meeting with the usual gang, I decided to build a 'basher' Ultima for that sole purpose in order to keep my old 'racer' Ultima with its somewhat pricey hop ups for track action only. I...

rears are 2'' and fronts are either 2.1'' or 2.2''.
I while back, we were asking each other about projects and new builds. Here's my RB5. It's not vintage but a few people had interest in seeing a pic. So, here it is.

LOL! Ok, I guess in order not to be made fun of at the track, I should keep the little white thing off. Thanks for the tip!! :D
Hey guys what is your opnion of the Kyosho Lazer ZX5? I was thinking about getting something different other than an AE buggy. Do any of you have one??

It's about a mile so off 150 right where Doug Herberts used to be. Here is a link. Drop by one Sunday we have a good crowd about every week.
I have been going at this stupid thing for years now. This week, I got completely ticked off with the front end, and ripped it apart. I can not find a set of shocks that look good on this thing, using the stock shock mounts, so I am holding out for...
For the Kyosho Triumph out there or what. There is so little available for this buggy its like it was released for a year then pulled. Im actually looking for a manual to build mine up, but Im falling very short in my findings. Im not finding much...

I was kinda hoping you could part with just some misc parts... I already have car. I'll keep an eye on it.
I have never had a NIB kit and was wondering if you could tell me about the Kyosho Turbo Rocky. I would like to get one NIB and was wondering if anyone could guestimate what this might cost me and how long I will be waiting for one to...

Ed, I could never sell my Radiant, but now that I know you are looking for one, I will certainly keep my eyes and ears open.
Regarding the Delta stuff.........I found most of the stuff, unfortunately, it is pretty much all for the 1/12 stuff. I...
Yeah I know, this is the second thread Ive started with my new Kyosho Scorpion beetle but I wanted to share some pics of my little bug on the beach out front of where I live.
Living on the beach front has its advantages and this would be one of...

That is awesome, love what you've done with it. The Icarus front wheels really set it off well. Hope to have my 2 beetles done soon.
Ok so I have been really busy with buying stuff from all over the world and usually its vintage Schuey stuff but recently its been alot of Kyosho also. This is the first of a couple of old Kyosho buggies which are on the way. This is just an early...
I am trying to assist a member in another forum to locate transmission parts, but I dont recognise the car...I am sure its a Kyosho, but with white plastic parts? And he said the transmission is belt drive?

I'll edit this to keep from looking like a complete dumbass, google is my friend. :D
This Kyosho Ultima got a big make-over about 5 to 6 years back, and was turned into a 1/12 tourer.
The external 2-gear reduction was replaced by a scrap-built belt drive.
It reduces the complexity and friction, while adapting the gear ratio to the...

Same little porsche body, and a few more shared parts like arms and dogbones, but further a whole different car.
I just need to decide on the ESC and receiver and then it gets its own thread. These are just teasers with the added decals and new...
but mine would have
- an RC 10 composite craft straight chassis
(yes your shodog: I can 't seem to stick with one idea nowadays)
- a stealth courtesy of mrlexan
- 4 medium kyosho ultimate shocks
- a rollcage body...

Sorry Mr. Ed, I sold f/r shocks NIP a while back. NIP are hard to come by. Speaking of hens teeth, try finding those red plastic collars for less than $10 a piece.
MMM, you must have missunderstood my plans: I was gonna build something using the...
This is my Ultim Pro 1 as it stands at the moment, I originally planned to go box art with it but the arrival of a Duratraxs chassis has put an end to that idea. I have added a one off front shock tower made by Fibre-Lyte so I could use longer...

Thanks very much Gents :D , I used to paint my race cars in a similar design just different colours. To be honest though the only reason I even considered painting this shell is they are cheap ($15) and readily available, there is no way I will be...
A while ago I won these 48 pitch gear sets made by trinity for the ultima & optima. I'm thinking of using one in my ultima runner but am having difficulties figuring out the gear ratio. Surely a gear ratio table existed but it didn't come with...

A larger spur allows you to use smaller pinions and still reach the spur. Doing so will bring the final ration for both closer agian, so that makes sense.
My guess: the overdrive kit was intended for stock moters.
I would like to put a slipper clutch on my A&L leathle weapon 2 tranny.
I know they made one, but it seems hard to get, so...
I can probably get a triump slipper.
Any idea if that would work or could be made to work on the 5mm topshaft of the A&L ?...

Ed,
Give me a day or two, to dig out the Power Clutch. As soon as I have it in hand, I will give you an offer you cant refuse. Should have it Saturday morning, when it is light out, and I can see inside my shed a little better.
The local hobbyshop owner was so happy I bough all this old stuff he couldn't get rid off... he gave me his old custom made gears.
(They look custom made anyway, magnesium maybe)
It's ultima outer gears with a smaller pitch than usual.
they are...

So nobody used 0.5 or 0.7?
Yokomo or AYK, or another japanese brand?
Any of you out there have the Peak Performance Slipper Elimination/Direct drive kit for the Lazer? I need the dimensions of the fiber disc between the two pulleys. Center hole I can figure, but thickness, and outside diameter I'm lacking.
Thanks...

I made a new spacer out of lexan, maybe it's not right, but it seems to work fine. :D
I'll be keeping my eye on it to see what it does, and how it wears.
Some pics of my TF2/Lazer before it got taken apart this weekend.
Only the arms and rear hub carriers are real Lazer parts; the rest is mainly TF2 and Maxxum parts, plus some home made stuff.
The body is from tower H, I don't recall the brand....
here's an oldie,I've had this car since the 80's,it was the owners' car of an LHS I worked at when I was a........ younger  He used to run this on carpet oval w/ foams. The body, wing and orig' tires are long gone, but I still have the Platinum...

I have of these old gems and would like to get more. Anyone have any leads on new ones and even info on the old ads or brochures on these fantastic old motors??
Picked up an original Ultima on Ebay for $20 (another poorly listed bargain I found) and have been restoring it. So far here's what I've done to it:
-Robinson Racing adjustable rear toe suspension mount
-Andy's wide front A-arms and turnbuckles...

The top deck is the standard original Ultima top deck, as can be seen above the MSC servo is mounted below the top deck behind the battery, with the receiver mounted above it in the middle. The only way to get everything under the narrow body....
So I acquired these kits some time ago, both is decent shape, one was mint, the other a bit hacks, but usable.
Wondering if anyone has one around. I know the bodies are ridiculous to find and I want to turn one of them into a potential crawler....

Injection mold is not the right process..... Just make a mold, there are a number of different types of materials to use, then you will need a vacuum/thermo-forming machining. Also, one note, that will not be a easy body to get a good amount of draw...
I had to put the 4X4 Ultima conversion in the fridge for a while.
Basically 'cause I got hit by a bad desire to return to the Ultima's roots: 2WD buggy style.
This site and the buggies showcased here were the major stimulans and when I...

Those are Triumph front arms indeed.
Edit: eeuht, they are pro-X arms. The Pro-X is the follow-up of the triumph (almost unseen where I lived because of a bad dip in the distribution for that period)
The conversion's from an obscure small hobbyist...
It seems we all missed this one, if I had known, I would have bid on it, massively... I really think it was sort of a bonanza for the winner

That is definetly a neat old car. I wonder from what year it was made. My oldest Kyosho car is an onroad carrera

And I read from the mini inferno forums they are very good too.
I know, I know, another non-RC10. Look at this way, I wanted to use the A&L Ultima as practice for the A&L RC10 build. Besides, cut me some slack, I am on a roll here. This is a new built A&L Kyosho Ultima conversion complete with the A&L tranny....

Thanks for those pictures.
Maybe I'll steal some of their ideas in my next home-build...
I guess this one is the RC 10 version right?
Pretty surprised you're getting rid of it, seems a pitty.
I cannot remember the name of this conversion, so if any of you guys know, please let me know. I am on a roll on getting these projects of mine done. This forum has inspired me (even though it is a Kyosho Ultima and not an RC10.... don't worry those...

I would also like to know for the Mirage bodies... maybe he did a mold himself... those japanese are really incredible at replicating... maybe we should try to get in contact with one of them...

Yes, it is the Kyosho Option House Slipper.... a great hop up.
Brand spankin' new. Shocks and trany are bone dry. I plan to paint the body when the humidity drops here in not so sunny Florida. This one will sit happily next to it's box, high above the reach of little hands.
reeaaally rough. I have all the parts plus tons of extras (gears too), just no time. The tub will require more bondo than I care to think about due to numerous electrical demons and subsequent meltdowns. Looks to me like the steering servo became...
so I got an optima... it was pretty beat (sorry no pics)
I managed to flatten out the metal and reshape a few pieces and since this will be a runner I am satisfied with them. I also replaces the gear caseings since they hold the A-arms in place and...
Working on a Kyosho Triumph project, not sure what direction it'll take now.

Anyone have a Triumph manual they would let go, or know of a website that has a copy of it? I got a nib Triumph that I would like a manual to so I could possibly build it one day.
