History of the RC10T
This thread is devoted to accumulating and sharing the group's combined knowledge of the RC10T. This effort was spearheaded by Marlo, who built and updated this thread for a number of years. For reasons unknown, all of his posts...

Early off line B stamped chassis variants. NOTE: The 10T NEVER...came
with a gold pan
Turns out that this isn't true and an nib gold tub truck with gold nose and motor plate came up for sale. The community decided that it was a valid kit.
This time with an RC10T3 which isn't my favorite truck but on paper it's ideal for vintage racing. The SRT will sit on the sidelines for now.
Many thanks to Alex for selling me this blank canvas to work with. So far...

Many thanks to Alex for putting me onto these cheap tires. I got tired of waiting for Carvers to become available again. I don't know how well these will perform compared to big name tires but they feel surprisingly good and look good....
I received this truck many years ago in a parts lot that included a very dirty but very complete RC10 Graphite.
Anyway, I'd like to rebuild this T? close to original and make a nice runner but I'm a bit confused. It appears to have T2 arms but a...

So like many on here I have too much time on my hands, a bunch of stalled projects while I wait for the postman and a bunch of bits laying around I thought I would try to salvage into something that ‘could’ run in the future.
I am trying to not...

Finally managed to get my hands on some front C hubs, NIP at a reasonable price (because they were a little yellowed and once received they took a peroxide bath) and threw together the remainder of the front steering assembly, not bad if I do say so...
The topic of a gold tub 10T came up years ago, and most (including myself) always thought there was only a black tub/nose/motor plate. This Japanese 7011 Sport kit appears to have the gold parts. I asked the seller for pics of the nose since...

Did this ever resurface? Did anyone here get it?
It didn't seem like there was a great deal of interest in the kit here for the asking price. It seemed to be pretty run of the mill except for the factory gold truck nose plate.
Since my kids are at the age where they're interested in RC cars, it has reignited the interest for me as well. I went to my storage unit and unearthed my RC10GT Factory Team that I had not seen in about 15 years. I completely disassembled, cleaned...

Team Bluegroove reproduce the F150 GT body
They do but it's the same one as JConcepts, which is not the same as the 6155 proline body.
Like many of you I grew up drooling over the RCCA article of Cliff Letts Team Moo RC10t. I was fortunate enough to get a 10t in 92 as a kid but never the funds to duplicate that dream truck till now. 😃
I was browsing OfferUp awhile back and I was...

Nice build !
I made one, it's not perfect but better than nothing...
Finally got my OS Max CZZ back together today. New rod from Hong Kong, new piston pin from Dubai. New OS 8 glow plug, Fasteddy bearings and new gaskets. The carb got all new seals too, and everything was cleaned thoroughly....

Do clutch springs get weak/sprung? My only frame of reference is distributor advance springs/weights and chainsaw clutches. Not sure how any of that relates to anything.....was just thinking if the clutch springs were underrated . Do these things...
I just got my RC10GT partially reassembled, and discovered that the steering is worse than useless. I want to get a Factory Works ball bearing steering kit for it, but am utterly lost as to what these 3 drag link options are. Is there any...

Thanks for the help! I didnt realize you were factory works.
Still in progress but complete enough to show off another project I started recently.
Recently picked up another Dudgeon parts lot but I wanted to do something a little different this time. I used a well used buggy chassis and made a natural...

Man I love these ‘Dungeon’ conversions :D Can’t wait to follow along.
Need to find out which Custom Works CVA and/or CVD kit(s) fit the RC10 B4. Which kit(s) have 3/16 axles and the correct length dogbones & axles. Or which dogbones and axles individually. Thanks.

Well this is irritating.
Ouch, bummer.
For what it's worth, Custom Works didn't elaborate when they told me they don't offer anything that fit the B4. Top secret stuff, apparently.
Not really a build thread as I bought the truck mostly assembled. Getting close to being complete just wanted to share some pictures for those who enjoy nitro stadium trucks.
Also anyone else who has one of these conversions please feel free to...
I just finished the design of a 3D printed rear bulkhead for my RC10T. I printed it using carbon fiber infused ABS. The original bulkhead weighted in at 25g, this printed part weighted in at 9g without the brass threaded inserts, 13 with the...
Just snagged this from one of the guys that work at the local Hobbytown for $50! I have been wanting a white GT ever since I got rid of my original one. I plan on restoring this bad boy! Probably not going to make it all brand new, because most of...

I love my gt...this engine came from Thumbs GT....runs perfect
I guess Derek never did a resto thread on this truck, but it runs incredible! It would idle for 24 hours just sitting still. I had a helluva...
I have always run o rings but in my high speed GT2 I installed springs to remove any slop in the bones back in 2017. CVD pins will not hold over 80mph even with super glue red loctite, and a heat shrink boot. The pins leave the bone and cut the rear...

The SG or Tag Coyote had little springs in the diff out drives , possibly others , only disadvantage I can think of is they drop out during servicing and O rings tend to stay in .
The springs I seem to find fit in the RC10 3/16 Outdrives only...
I am replacing the conrod on my OS Max .12 CZ-Z. How am I supposed to remove the wrist pin without destroying it? It feels good still, and I cant find replacements for the life of me. I also dont see any g clips on either end that are supposed to be...

I Googled their address, and they're an actual brick-and-mortar hobby shop.
Just picked up a used rc10gt and was wanting to upgrade the engine, I took about 20 years off of this hobby and wow things have changed. Anyone have any suggestions on new engines it’s like all that’s out there is .21s or traxxas engines.

If you are wanting to maximize performance, convert it to brushless.
Is there anywhere to get the reproduced decals for the RC10T other than MCI? I love MCI and I use them for nearly everything but their RC10T decal sheets are missing many of the decals from the box art for both the team truck and the...

It also confirms my suspicion that the box art for the RC10T uses decals from a bunch of different sheets.
This seems to be a common thing from almost all I’ve messed with. Sometimes you can find what you’re missing from other sets. Some are one...
Hi, long time lurker, new poster….my first RC that was decent was an RC10T followed by an RC10GT. That was around 25 years ago. When covid hit, my son saw a scrap heap of RC10GT parts as asked about it. I told him what it was and he asked to fix it....

Here is my silver carbon fiber kit installed on my black tub truck. Let me know what you think.
Here is my black tub build. I bought this car in a local rc10 lot, kept this car and sold the rest in eBay for the price I paid for the lot. good deals can be found locally once in a while. This truck also came with a fantom .12 engine, which I...
Hello,
Bought this truck a few years ago.
Im assuming its all stock and in new condition, just wondering about the black arms as well as the black towers.
Havent seen too many with both.
Must be a late late version??
The body is kindof ugly but i...

The idea was a 1/8th scale RC10 according to RC car action. An RC10T4 chassis with skinny wheels in front and the improved aerodynamics of a B4. Seems more of a 1/9th scale buggy.
JConcepts have introduced a revolutionary new vehicle concept, the...

Found my Egressified RC10 pics from 2017 inspired by the J82. OCRC. I should have gone way more when it was around.
I got this RC10GT way back when I was a teenager. Probably around 1998 or so. I bought it without an engine, so for one summer me and a friend ran it on a worn-out old OS engine he had. I fondly remember driving the hell out of this thing. Starting...

I got my RPM rear arm mounts in today so I got those dropped in the truck. And as I did I was sitting there flexing the rear end and even though it was a lot better with the addition of the aft engine mount/chassis stiffener, I still wasn't happy...
So there I was, innocently browsing the ole' eBay for an RC10T roller, shocked at how brutally-expensive they've become, when I stumbled across this gem. From the body it just looked like an old T3 RTR roller. A million of them out there, right? But...

Yeah I ended up winning those shock caps. Man, they look great on the truck!
This was a fun project. I'd really like to get it down to the carpet track on a free-run night. I think it'd be a lot of fun there.
Hey guys, hope y’all are doing well. Went to a hobby store a few hours away from me and found a decent little haul of NOS parts including an OS Max 12CV in a red OS box with a see through plastic lid. I’ve never seen a box like that so I asked him...

I wonder if MIP Pucks or Kyosho RB7SS outdrive spacers would work. Custom works lists theirs as in stock.

Hey guys, I hope everyone is doing well! Just been researching how to get hex wheels on my two RC10GT’s and I have a few questions. I’ve seen all the posts about the T4 hex axle swap but can only find one auction on eBay for the parts I would need....

I’ll do some researching but I think I’ll try and get them to work, can’t find many decent options for a good price!
I love the washers, they look awesome too. Bought the complete B4 bearing carriers with axles, spacers and CVD’s for $40 USD,...
This thing still looks good and runs great. I know I will need to get new batteries, only runs for like 3 minutes then dies. What are good ones to get.
Not sure what I got here. Couple of pics. Let me know what you guys think. Worth a restore? IMG_20230629_153413.jpg IMG_20230629_153415.jpg IMG_20230629_153418.jpg

#7050 RC10GT Basic Sport Truck

I did have a search on here about this but didn't find an answer.
Could someone give me the measurements of the front and rear rc10T shocks from eyelet to eyelet please ?
The 1.02 and 1.32 ones.
I bought this awesome-ish frankentruck off of ebay. It was advertised as a Losi GTX, but I think I've determined it's really an RC10T3 with some team / factory parts that has a new chassis and the transmission has been swapped into a mid-motor...

The Frankentruck lost its body to one of the EGTs. But it got an upgrade. The replacement was from a shelfer GT, but didn't quite work with the T3 rear shock tower. After a little trimming and the addition of a pair of carbon fiber RC10B4 hub towers...
Today starts my take on the box art Rc10gt. I don't want it to match 100%, but have it more of a one off copy GT that means more to me As I raced back in the day longside the box art version days. Racer was a huge fan, but lived states away had...
I had initially planned on rehabbing a pretty shabby T3 into something nice. However I had an ebay seller agree to sell me a very nice condition T3 RTR.

Im trying to piece together an original team truck and had a question about the shock caps. Did the team truck always come with shock caps or were they always aluminum? I saw that the some of the aport trucks has plastic caps but wasnt sure if that...

I believe all sport trucks had plastic caps, gold body's
Nib 7011 kit, sealed parts bag, with white plastics and black aluminum shock caps. It has a Reedy Outlaw stock motor as well.
