Ok, so this is the original scan of the decal, at 600 dpi. It looks so-so if viewed at actual size on the screen. Zooming in a good amount shows that there are various colors all over the place...which is what causes issues with the vector...

It looks to me like that guy was compelled to apply every sticker on the sheet on those bodies...I actually think the paint work was good (just not my favorite colors), but all but obscured by the myriad stickers. 8)

Here's what I did to make my own Buick Grand National stickers to dress up a 1:12 Monte Carlo body to mimic a GN.

-Papilio Inket Waterproof Adhesive Vinyl sticker paper

-Design and scale your own stickers to properly fit your body

-You rinse...

Well! you have a wast involvement in your grasp. I don't know whether there is one, yet I think the least demanding approach to take is to get a decent set of scissors. On the off chance that you take after the line of the shell, deliberately things...

This one didn't want to strip, much thinner body to. Looks like ass. :lol:

I ended up painting it box art which didn't come out too bad. The drips are too uniform on mine but it looks good.

Mr. Clean magic erasers are micro-abraiding. Don't do that, it'll end up swirl frosted.

if your going to do camo there are alot of curved lines go for a x acto swivel knife ... anouther learning curve but works well for curved lines

I have a Badger 155 dual action brush. Seems to work well - but I'm still figuring out the whole airbrushing thing myself! I was like you - wanted one solution for everything. Or at least one compressor for everything.

Just bought some Spaz Stix paints. FL Yellow, FL Blue, and White. We'll see. I have only used the Tamiya and Pactra paints in the past. With the RTR and pre- painted bodies, who in the hell needs a quality paint anymore? Right? Wuuf. I'll report...

Thanks, I liked the fact it was simple enough yet complete if you know what I mean. I still haven't decided on decals yet as nothing has stood out and captured me. Stay tuned though as I also have a poxy gimmick in the works that works quite well so...

I have some Tamiya alloy body mount arms with square-shaped holes. I suppose if one wanted to, one could swap the square-ended body posts with normal white round-ended ones...but I digress. Back on topic. :mrgreen:

Check with UltraHive on ebay, he mainly lists bike stickers but has make some killer repro motor stickers and will do custom also. I had him do me some purple twister stickers a while back, and some Losi revolutions too

I haven´t driven it yet, but with its locked diff´s and crawler motor, it would run like a stiff legged turtle :)

I´ve added new shocks which lowered it a bit and with a softer set of springs, it should be allright in trial/trail...

I dig the fake wheels, that makes a great display as is till it's ready to use.

I'm about to buy my first airbrush, a Hobby King (TG-130-K).

Is it wise to buy a spare set of needles at the same time? Is that a common need?

I don't really want to use the original stickers, I opened NIP parts to take pics of them, and that took a great deal of effort on my part.

The cheapest NIP parts with the stickers with postage to Australia are a...

If you're after a recipe for a suitable cocktail... Try

a pint of water, pure as you can get
Cup of rubbing alcohol or methylated spirits
Few drops of Dish detergent, no more than half tsp

Mix it all into a trigger pump pack & its good to go.

It looks like the top one I posted is trimmed a lot higher/narrower in the nose than the latter few. Is that right?

I'm finding mine is riding high, I think hitting the nose braces, making it tough to clip down. And I do have 2 spacer washers under...

These will be brand new rims. I ordered them from Banzai and they are the 2014 Scorpion wheels. Not sure what they are made of yet, but I assume they will be exactly what everyone has with the Scorpion re re. If anyone that has got theirs already...

Silver is opaque but will darken lighter colors its painted on top of.
Use white to prevent darkening.

I do PS1 White then PS12 Silver before over coating that with PS5 Black for show shells.
Total blackout so body colour can't be seen thru...
