Re: Body for Slingshot
Didn't the one in the Tower catalog have like a green McAllister body on it?

Re: Body for Slingshot
I sold a ton of slingshots BITD and none of them came with a body. The kyosho catalogs showed them with the green and white body but the tower ads showed only the rolling chassis.

If you search for a slingshot on this forum you'll find a pic of a Kyosho ad. It shows a green somewhat corvette looking body. It's in the "Kyosho slighsot scan" thread. Are you going to start repopping bodies for it?

Re: Body for Slingshot
I've got an extra Custom Works Camaro/Dom body, of which I love BTW, but a CW body on a Kyosho car just doesn't seem right. I would love to find a Twister (I think that brand is right from memory). Anyone know if Gary has the old oval molds available? A pull from one of his old molds would be great.

Maybe we can convince him to put a "special order" page on his site with a complete list of all the molds he still has that he could pull.mrlexan wrote:Anyone know if Gary has the old oval molds available? A pull from one of his old molds would be great.
That would probably drum up a little business for him, and make things easy for us.

I recently had one of those NIP, but didn't know that I would end up needed it. That always seem to the case though. How many times has that happened to each of us.

Re: Body for Slingshot
The slingshot came without body, but Kyosho had another 4wd dirt oval racer...
In a french mini-catalog of sep 1990 a chevrolet Lumina kit number 4256 is shown, on the same page with the slingshot.
The text says it uses the same suspension as the slingshot, and the specs underneath the picture give the same gear ratio, but some other numbers are different.

Re: Body for Slingshot
I am thinking one of these are going to work:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270443054801
or
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270443054727
If it turns out I don't like them, I'll just offer them back up for sale.

Re: Body for Slingshot
Turned out that this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270443054727 is the green body in the Kyosho ad. I am happy!
