So one of my best friends Todd Hodge, who is the Category manager for TLR asked me to help check the build bags for the new 22. So I got to build one for the first time. Being that I mainly focus on the Losi side, it was fun to build a new kit. The buggy went together really good and has some pretty cool features.....the bad part, is that once I built it I had to give it up to one of our team drivers. I think Todd felt bad, so he let me have the "drop test" car that we beat to hell. He gave me parts to rebuild it

Although some parts are not production, it's very very close. Of course i had to dye the wheels black as I thought they would look good against my new scheme.
I'll be the first to admit that I haven't been the biggest fan or our 2wd buggies in the past, for some reason, even with Gil Jr's help, my cars always pushed off the track. I don't know if it was my driving style but man did I struggle. I hate to say it but there was nothing like my old team car when I was sponsored by Associated 17 years ago (ugh I aged myself lol).
Although I was very rusty, I raced it this past weekend. I didn't have the proper settings being that it was the drop test car but I did get it tuned in by the guys during the day and all I can say is wow

. The car has amazing "carving" like steering and unreal traction. I need to "numb" it out a little for me as my reaction time isn't like it used to be but I feel that those you get one are really going to enjoy it. It's very balanced, I only have 5 packs on it but i can't wait to hit the track again.
Just thought I'd share
Rich
