RPM gold II. Finally a runner...
Had a couple builds that are in progress, but it always seems that they turn out too nice to run, and can't seem to find interest in running an old junker. So what better way to break in some NIP parts along with a few other nice ones scattered in the mix. Hopefully this one will be built to survive a bit of punishment once or twice per month as I find time to race it and learn the ropes again. Was going to run a set of RPM worlds arms, but I think Jakes arms are nicer as well as a tad longer. Easily able to run B4 cvds. Going to use a Trinity 10.5 and an all metal geared RPM 2.65 trans with a B4 slipper. Thought of using V2 shocks, but I think the golds will be ok for my current skill level . Real anxious to get this one done and put in some laps!

Bob, are you a closet IU fan living in KY?? Not to worry, there are plenty of UK fans here to even things out. You may call that a simple "runner", but it's still going to look nicer than anything I own. Can't wait to see it done.

I do need a psych evaluation, but gotta run this one. If I can make it to the Vonats this year, I'll use this one. Hopefully the JConcepts sheets will help keep the underside in good condition.
Thumbs, come to think of it, that IU cup is as vintage as the RC10. I have a bunch of those style cups from the concessions in Bloomington when we used to attend most of the home games in the 80's. Damn I'm getting old! Once a Hoosier, always one I suppose and yes I miss Bob Knight.

With all the respect in the world given the look of that killer workspace, do you have an explanation for the two varieties of paper towels? When you open that many packages, there shouldn't be too much grime involved. But when it comes time to bleed the shocks, which color towel will it be?askbob wrote:I do need a psych evaluation, ......

Lol! What Jws said. My OCD took over the garage renovation I did this past fall/winter. The workbench I've had for about ten years also got a makeover. I always keep the cheapo paper towels for cleaning windows, and the other shop type towels for the rest of my messes. I stock up on them from Costco. Don't let the OCD scare you...

This is going to be a nice build! Good luck, and please post pictures of the completed build when so.
