I got this kit a few weeks ago. The build was straightforward and took just a few hours. A lot of the tedious stuff like the axles and transmission was already built.
The Mojave body is very similar to a Tamiya Hilux and it allows for lighting, So I wanted to use one of Tamiya's Multi function units. Installing one in a high lift is a breeze but in this truck everything had to be custom. I made a small speaker enclose with a small tupperware container and a piece of fiberglass. I also had to fab a small mount for the MFU Unit.
The body has kinda stalled out. Tamiya spray paints are scarce and I have been finding a can here and there. So far I have glued in the back panel of the cab and filled in the crack with body filler. it's ready for priming.
Killer!, I'm getting "Pops" one on the next round of availability ( I hope ) he thinks it's too much $$ for a B-day present but I reminded him how many RC cars he bought me as a kid Looking forward to a body build too from ya-
been watching you guys talk about these and couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about...I'm figuring it out as you get more and more info posted on these. Looks great. Glad for my wallet that there aren't many guys around here into scalers

No clue how much wattage its pumping out. However they are loud enough to make my neighbor come out to see why a semi truck kept driving up and down our block when i was running my knight hauler.

I saw that these were on sale at RC4WD and I wanted to grab one before they were gone. The shots below are using my existing jeep body. I have an entirely new body I want to use for this project. I plan to mod the body a little bit like getting rid...

Your Jeep looks fantastic! :D
The only thing that gave it away (at first glance) was the bumper holes in the rear corners.
RC Channel makes some great looking parts.
It almost looks real!
*Personally, I kind of dug the wheel studs & scale lug...
Today the last piece of the puzzle came in so now I can start my RC10T build. It's going to be rainy this weekend so what better time than to do a build. Here is my collection of parts so far. There are a few small odds and ends I will need to scab...

rpm made 2 different topshafts for the 2.65 trans. one for a slipper, and one for the hydra. i think shodog might be mistaken when he says he used a losi topshaft on the truck. the a-3140 losi topshaft is for adding the hydra to a 2.25 stealth. not...
I bought the HPI mini RS4 sport way back in 2003 so it has been a very long term project. It was missing the entire steering system, body mounts and a shock so it languished in a box for years
I've been on the hunt for a tube chassis for years. I've missed out on a few in the past so when Spanky posted some of the chassis he made, I took the bait. I bought his #2 chassis and it came in the mail today and I'm happy.

This is so killer! I've always wanted a tube sand rail since I saw that one in RC action that had the cooler and cup holders!!! That's was the 90s!
I wanted to make this better than just your standard slap together by using some parts that are vintage and other parts that are currently available. I've been collecting things here and there. A set of Dhawk aluminum parts including the...

6 years for an update.
Why did you ditch the Race Master bearing adapters in the tranny?
I stole those to use on my sprint car with a Rogue Elements gear case
Here are some pics of what I will be using in this build
