Picked this up a while ago and have been collecting pieces to get it ready for 17.5 blinky racing. I'm pretty sure if I build another, I'll just start collecting parts as there was really no reason to buy a car - almost every piece was replaced with new parts other than the chassis and trans. Just waiting on electronics (and a few minor small parts) to show up .. guess I'll have to glue on some tires too
Using beefy Jcon rod ends everywhere but the inner steering ends (they would probably clear, but I had to do more than a little work to the bellcranks) - turnbuckles are old Technacraft titaniums -
*Blinky* stock racing is a class where you can't do any programming to the ESC (timing, boost, etc) and run a 17.5 stock motor. Most ESC's will blink when unmodified - hence the name.

Trinity D3.5 17.5 and Novak GTB2X showed up. Asked around on gearing, going to start a bit conservative with a 72/33 setup. Batteries should be here tomorrow - hopefully take it for a test spin this weekend. Still working out a few small issues.. don't like the way the rear end rebounds - just from drop tests. Seem to have lost my spare FASST reciever.. hope it shows up soon!!
33/72 is pretty close, maybe over a touch, depending upon the size of your track. I ran 32/72 this past weekend, motor was coming off @ 145 after a 6 min heat. Car looks great, what you have lined up for a body?

Joey, you running fans on your motor? Also outdoor SoCal gear and indoor FL gear can mean big differences, as are fans, tire diameter and esc type and even throttle settings.
New member here, been lurking for almost 2 years ! Finally got my Worlds runner / racer finisehd the way I like it . Also run an original BJ4, both cars done out in vintage decals (well, almost all period), and matching shells in the scheme I...

Welcome to the board! Digging the vintage scheme! I remember those colors.
I too rock the BJ4WE and I really like it too! Can't wait to see the progress. What type of track are you racing on? I too race vintage indoor offroad on a blue-groove clay...
As mainly a Kyosho and Losi fan, I've not spent much quality time with RC10s of any generation. I have a few in my collection and restored a couple before the Classic re-release, but I've never actually driven one
Here is my (new to me) Worlds rolling chassis. This was my first real RC back in the day and have regretted ever letting it go. However, I was able to get one again and thus my project car for this time in my life. Always been a Team...

I rebuilt the diff. That was the issue.
Drove it tonight in open practice and it did very well! Very happy with how it has turned out. :D
This topic is going to come up eventually, we all know it!.. LOL!!
So who is building the new Worlds car to be a shelf queen or a Saturday night local track runner?
I'm going box art shelf queen on this one. It will sit beside my re re Classic box...

Runner, with a simple Speedpassion 3000kv brushless set-up, unless once its built I'll look at like I have all my other new built runner cars, that end up sitting on the shelf LOL
Firstly, a quick hello as new to the forum. I have been lurking and drawing inspiration for a few weeks now, and as the parts have started to arrive, thought it time to say hello.
I am currently putting parts and hopefully a donor car together for...

After reading your posts, and seeing pics of your runner build...it has inspired me to keep my world's chassis and build it a different way, and not so much building it in stock form. Thanks!
