RC12E Race Car
RC12E Race Car
I picked this up a few days ago from Craiglist . It was simply titled Race Car , with no pictures and the description was "Associated 6 cell R/C car" . The car was located just a few minutes from work so I emailed the seller if may have a look at it on my way home . When she brought out the box , she told me it used to belong to her dad and that it's been sitting in the closet for several years . She was getting ready to throw it out when her brother recommended to put it on Craiglist in case anybody was interested . I'm really suprised the body survived because everything was just squished into the box .The Rc12e looks likes it in good condition just dusty and the controller looks new . What's cool to me is the stickers on the box , Hobby World . It was a hobby shop that was 5 minutes from my old house , remember walking up there all the time to buy models and watch them race in the parking lot when I was growing up .

Re: RC12E Race Car
Team Nats kit = weightsaver special edition probably pretty rare to find with the kit box. I saw one other sell this last year which was an "unassembled nib kit" on eBay and it went for about $390. Nice find!

Re: RC12E Race Car
It appears he has a 4 cell in it and an unused 6 cell, leads me to believe he wired it for 4 cell so please double check before you plug in a 6 cell.....would hate to see that old receiver and servos get smoked

Re: RC12E Race Car
Thanks for the great information guy's , I am unfamiliar with onroad but plan on trying to get it running again . Scanned some of the kit prices and part numbers , it's interesting to see how much the kit' cost then . I was unaware that assembled kit's were available .

WoW! That's an awesome find man! I can't wait to see this car cleaned up and running again. I'll have to start searching Craigs list now that I've seen this!

Re: RC12E Race Car
Thanks , the only information I could find on the battery's is KG and Japan on the side . Scanned in some more information on the Team Nat Kit and weightsaver accessories .
