today i drove a brand new shelby gt500 convertible. and i have to say, there's NOTHING that isn't fun about a rwd car with 662 horsepower and 631 lb-ft of torque.
It's like a girl too pretty, with too much class
Being too lucky, a car too fast
No matter what they say I've done, well I ain't never had too much fun
I was Ford factory trained and am a proud and loyal ford guy for many years. My dad is pure Chevrolet. Hates fords with a passion. I worked at the ford dealer for around 6 years before switching it up and working at an all Ford performance shop. Unfortunately the economy went kaput and now work in a job I hate. Still, had the most fun ever with Fords. We still crew for a 10.5 radial car that runs mid 7's and is street legal. I have driven my fair share of 03/04 terminators and a handful of gt500 Shelby's. Everyone should drive one once

thats cool.. i never drove a new car with that much power .. ive been in alot of old cars with alot of power.is it just me or does it seem much different then then the old stuff. it feels like old cars were faster but 1/4 mile times dont lie.
I'm mostly a Mopar guy but I own a few GM products that I'm happy with...I've never owned a Ford. I was never really fond of the Mustangs of any generation, they were just too commonplace. I liked the early 70's-ish Torino Cobras, though (pre-Starsky & Hutch model, never liked that one either). I think the '70 I loved most, and my cousin had a '72 with the fast-back body style and cool hoodscoop. But other than that span of Torinos, I can't think of any other model of Ford that I'd like to own.
