Traxxas TRX-1 Build
Hey guys I'm new to this site and though I would check it out as I'm in the process of building a vintage Traxxas TRX-1. I see that there are a few others on here who have some nice builds which is a great help. I've attached I pic of what I have so far.

you have all the hard stuff sorted out already, wheels, tranny, tranny cover, arms, chassis, steering - the rest ie turnbuckles, UJ's, body, can be obtained pretty easily new and cheap on ebay and Tower in most cases! You'll have a very nice TRX1 in the end - looking forward to the finished product!

Looks like it'll be a nice build. I like those blue anodized shock caps, are they 12mm? I ask because I wonder if they'd fit 12mm shock bodies, like the Kyosho Golds for example.

Re: Traxxas TRX-1 Build - Need Parts HELP! PLEASE!
Motor plate is really the only hard part to get of the bunch, at least separately - otherwise you need to buy a spare car or transmission. Wheels can be a challenge too, but sometimest they come up, if you have used ones I would try to refurbish them and keep the cash instead. The rest is not that hard to source, especially if you're ok with black parts, or stealth-using RC10 parts
There's on wing mount set on ePay at the moment, not cheap, but hey it's here. Otherwise use AE parts, close enough.

If I can ever finish it! These remaining parts seem to be impossible to find. I'm starting to lose faith.

Re: Traxxas TRX-1 Build
Nice buggy. Keep your eyes peeled on eBay. That motor plate will be tough but the other parts show up on eBay. Don't forget to cross reference other models, many parts fit but not have the original part number. Patience will be a virtue here. Its not unheard of to take a couple years to locate what you need. Its really strange that most trx1 projects tend to be missing that motor plate......

Re: Traxxas TRX-1 Build
yeah, thats the reality of it. Try other boards like the vintage section of traxxas forums and you might find one of the members there with an extra they might be willing to let go. Try oople, don't know anything about the place but seems there is quite a few people talk about it for vintage stuff.jwscab wrote:Nice buggy. Keep your eyes peeled on eBay.
