RC10 Short Front Arms for Pan car
Are there any currently available Short front arms for the RC10 pan car that you guys are aware of? The 1984-1990 units rather than the Wide frontend stuff.
Interestingly enough I ran accross a set of Andys Arms that are the short ones in a organizer full of parts that came with some stuff I bought recently. I wasnt aware that anyone had made an aftermarket short arm.
Thanks Mark

Thanks for the info guys.
Those Hot Trick Arms are funky.. are they all aluminum or are they made out of a Phenolic.
I think I will stick with the Originals as well for the fun we are working here.

The Hot Trick arms are anodized aluminum.
Didn't The Touch make short aluminum front arms along with the aluminum trailing arm kits?

Can anyone speak to these SHORT Arms from Team Cobra? Apparently they are injection molded with 12% glass filled nylon.

Re: RC10 Short Front Arms for Pan car
Yeah I gathered that from the webpage that they were a specific purpose arm.
They appear to be the same silhouette.. and therefore should bolt up just like those Andys Short arms in the first post that also are the same silhouette but not exact copies of the originals.
Will they Fit? Is the Pin distance the same for hinge points? Have you owned or handled any?
Thanks

The Cobra fronts won't work well. Dynotech makes a repro of that arm and I asked them for the dimensions awhile back...they're too wide at the inside mounting point. I suppose you could add spacers but that would look crappy.

Hi Phin, Thank you those details are great. Do you have a link to the units your speaking of from Dynatech. I had checked them out on another thread were they were going to make a bunch of copies of RC10 Suspension items including Rear Arm Mounts but apparently that has fallen through.

Gotcha,
If this is a Cobra style arm then perhaps it would need shimmed as well. Please post here when you get your answer as I am building a resource list.

Re: RC10 Short Front Arms for Pan car
As I said, I already got the answer. Forgot the exact measurement but I remember it being even wider at the inside mounting point than truck arms. Pin to pin length I believe was somewhere between the short and wide buggy arms.
