Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
I don't think what you see in Classifieds ads nowadays is in any way representative of the popularity of those cars from 25 years ago.
It could just as easily mean more people wanted to keep their Hotshots and get rid of their RC10's. (That's probably not true either but you get the point.)

It's faulty logic. See my edit above for what I mean.gomachv wrote:Where did they go?

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
I heard the molds for the pans are long gone... Seems like it was Curtis that said something about it on this forum somewhere, could be wrong.. I do know a friend of mine asked Cliff about the pan molds and he also said they were no longer available. Pretty sure it was about the same time as the big sale of the remaining pans from AE.

Well, I doubt they will be doing a re-release. Though, that would be amazing. Then we'd have dozens of threads complaining about it.
They used the short "eared" bulkhead!

If it was made in China, would it be called the "LC10" in Engrish?Hcp22 wrote:Making a new mold for the pan wouldn’t be too costly in China…

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
Back when the "team associated" forum was running they claimed to know the number of rc10's produced. IIRC, they said it was about 385,000. I'm not 100% on the number. They also weren't very clear on which models were included in that number.

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
All good discussion but still, why would they put that original advert on the first 2 pages of the June 2013 R/C Car Action??

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
well, if you're on this site, you don't need the threat of a re-issue to talk about old rc10's.

I'll be happy if it makes a few companies start producing hard to find parts.

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
Maybe they are getting ready to release the B5 and this is to get attention. Didn't Losi use the number of years since the Jrx2 for the 22? Maybe RC-10 (30) B5?
