Just to make it official and you can see what was actually written, here's a photo of the whole poster.

Got things ready for mock up and found that the bottom tube was too low and couldn't be see like in the photos. I cut about the same thickness and the thick tube off everything and cut the front off. It fits much better now and have to work on the other side now. It's going to be a slow go, but once I get it done and finessed this will look sweet. One thing I'm finding out is it's a pain in the ass to remove the shocks and shock tower when seeing how things line up.

Templates would be a good idea. I'll make one when I get to that point.

I'm not having a good run at this anymore. I'm beyond frustrated with achieving the correct angles and making this fit as snug as the original. I've been spending hours and hours on this each day and night and now I'm back to where I was a few days ago.

The way the cage comes in at the top doesn't match the angle at which the body slopes at in the rear or at the bottom of the windshield. If I were to use the angles from the body then the roof gets too narrow. I guess I have to pick somewhere in the middle.

I did notice that the original has a gap at the base of the cage, so I'm sure they had the same issue back then.

Anyway, this is how my desk looks and it probably wont change much since I've become so annoyed it this.

problem is you have to think in 3 dimensions, not just 2, just like a real car roll bar.

work on just the top bars that run from back to front, build them so they attach to the chassis. then add the other bars in around them.

I see you are soldering them also. I suppose the plan is to paint, and not powdercoat? Be careful if you attempt to powdercoat you might be close to making the solder mushy or melted.

It looks like the the wing has to come off and than the shocks to slip the body over the shock tower at an angle.

And not only that, you have to remove the shock tower and thread it though the cage and reattach the tower again. Once you do that, then you put the body on and then remount the shocks. I've done it at one point, it's a pain in the ass.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the cage...Yikes that sounds like a pain.

I don't think the cage is attached to the body. Probably just the roof. Of course we could always ask Steve too.

No, it's not attached at the bottom, but it's pretty tight to the edge.
