Would like to know if the motor needs to have the condenser that came with it, the motor is a lemans 240st.
Found the car at my Dads place and remembered that I had started to build it, some 20 years ago.

Capacitors?
It shouldn´t be a problem to run Your motor without capacitors.
To my knowledge, its only to eliminate electric interference.
So if You don´t receive any complaints from neighbors or fellow racers - it´s no problem.

Actually, those are more or less a required item, as Dennis said, to reduce interference--but not for your neighbors, for the motor itself. Electrical interference can make the motor very glitchy, spastic, coggy, etc. Definitely solder those on, especially if you're using a radio & receiver from the same era.

Yes, use the capacitators. They are supposed for removing interferences, but not for the motor, more for the radio. The maybe strange bahaviour of a motor is the result of glitches/interferences of the radio.
