Re: My old RC10L team car

Felt like adding an update to this car since I've done a couple things to it. White bumper and body post were just extras from other purchases and I like the white parts better so I threw them on. Had the Sees for a while and just recently gave them a little polish so those were added as well. After a long search for foam donuts and being led around in circles I eventually came into Johns BSR tires. Turns out he was right up the road so he told me to swing by and we would make something work. Super nice guy and hooked me up pretty well. And the Tecnacraft aero pod I also bought a while ago and forgot I even bought till I bought another and realized I bought the wrong one. Went digging and found this one.

Here's how she sits, and also have a cool paint scheme from another car in the works for this too.

Never thought about it till recently but out of all the years and all the cars I've owned this is the one car I own that I bought new and that I've owned the longest. And still hasn't been ran. And I always wonder how people have these super old kits and never drive them. This one is on its way to being one of those cars

Those Sees wheels are nice Todd.

That kit brings back memories....okay not the cool pics...the dusty car pics bring back the memories, lol.

I cant believe you've never driven it. Pan cars glide so nicely. ultra smooth with 64 pitch gears.

Sweet car man!!!

I bought this car shortly after my neighbor at the time, a garbage man, brought me home a 6 gear CE and an RC12i. I stuck electrics I had from other cars in both. That 12i was silly fast compared to what I was used to. Sadly I trashed it though running it on my neighborhood streets. From that experience with the 12i I told myself I would never run the 10L on any surface that wasn't prepped for it. Was tempted many times as a kid but I had others to hold me off. Now its too late that I'm in collector mode. Ill buy another to run long before I drive this one.

Update time.... Got my body back from Vintagemishal, another outstanding job he did. Threw a few stickers on there. I'd like to ad more but my selection is slim and you can only ad Associated stickers so much before it looks stupid so I stopped till I get a better variety. So here is what it looks like now.

Image

And here's my Dilemma. While the body was off being painted I thought I might as well pull out my new Tecnacraft wing for this car. I can't decide if it goes well with this particular body..... Or if its just too small for the car in general. Maybe I'm just being picky but I don't want to go poking holes in the body then changing my mind.

Any opinions on the wing please feel free to share.

Oh and by the way, trimming bodies is not my best talent so ignore the wavy cuts :?

Looks great but yeah, I'd hold out for a pan car wing.

X2. Most importantly on the "Looks great" part. Love that gold pin striping. Really compliments those colors for a classic look and compliments the gold in the wheels.

Well I'm glad its not just me on the wing. The wing though is the 7" version and is for "on road" but it looks odd with this body.

And thumbs, I had to go back and look cause the pictures do make the pin striping look gold. Must be my table or my lamps causing a reflection.

But I added a couple more stickers I found so here's the "updated" pics  .....I'm just excited how well the body looks and like looking at it

x2...The paint isn't cartoony and chopping the rear posts was a plus...I would leave the wing off if it...

Thanks guys. I did also remove the number plate on the top as well. Looked funny up there all by itself.
