Kyosho NSR500 old decal problems

Post by slapshot1979 »

I am building a kyosho NSR500 (rothmans) from NIB and have spend ubar amounts of time seam sanding painting building etc. I had a look at the decal sheet for the first time out of package and some of the sheet has lifted from the backing. I can assume that it has lost its stickiness. it is about 20+ years old. Is there a product I can use to apply these. ie make em sticky again. I am shooting for perfection not a CA type fix.
Thanks

Good question! I have a couple motor labels that have lost their sticky too. Looking forward to an answer!

3m makes a tape called pressure sensitive adhesive. It's basically just the stick'em that is about 5mil. I use it for aerospace applications.
