Not necessarily. Can fill the tank with oxygenated fluorocarbon liquid and the mouse wouldn't drown.

what's the 100g weight in the bottom of the beaker for?
Well, it's tethered to the tail, so one might deduce...........

I would never claim that goldfish have much intelligence or recall, but mine definitely know when I have their food in my hand walking toward them and when I don’t. I'm sure they'd never learn to control that thing, but the idea behind is really cool.

I agree too that a rat would be more interesting.
