Watch what you buy. I bought three different sets from three different chop shops on eBay and each set broke on different race days. If you want them for a restoration/shelf queen, then no worries. If you are going to race, just buy a pair of new black ones from Tower or Amain and save yourself the aggravation.

Adding to that, buy dirty ones. Clean with soap and water first. Some choppers clean with fairly aggressive solvents and could be contributing to the breakage. A good boil wouldn't hurt either
