These are recent pick ups that I couldn't say no to for the price.
Ultima with Tecnacraft wheels. I just found the original front wheels and tires but wasn't able to find the rear wheels and tires within boxes of stuff.
Turbo Ultima II
Double Dare with clod wheels. Found the original tires and wheels but haven't put them back on yet.
TM Ru22311 wrote:Man, those are in great condition. I have to agree, those wheels look slick on the Ultima! I never find awesome deals Congrats!
That's what I always said until last month. Ultima was $50. Turbo Ultima II was $50. And the Double Dare was $200 with working Futaba Magnum Jr radio. And those weren't the best deals I got...
USA-1? I think I want to see it run once. I read a lot about its shortcomings so I don't think I want to push it and break things. But I would like to see it drive around next to a Clod and Double Dare.
Someone at kyosho should have been fired for that steering mechanism
Otherwise they were a fun truck
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website
Yeah, seems like the biggest unfixable issue with the truck.
I think I saw the Sassy Chassis had some mods you could make to the steering setup to make it better. But I'll probably leave this stock. I might even sell the Thorp diff and other gears since I will probably drive it once.
got my USA1 out today for the first time, quite impressed by the speed of it but quite disapointed by the steering.. i went through cleaned all the pivot points and everything looked good.. checked the servo operation all good, but under load that poor servo just struggled to move.. even with the cable tie around the servo saver it struggled.. thinking of trying a new servo metal gear not the era correct full plastic one.. also figure that i might do away with a servo saver..
other thought was has anyone tried fitting a second servo in the rear thus taking half the load of the steering??
the current steering is very simple and crude hence where lies the problem
it does get the curiosity going about trying to do a 4 wheel steering ultima or optima or even a lazer zx5... thoughts for a rainy day..
Although I hope that you won't have the issue I had on my Tamiya DF-01 after installing a stronger servo: the car still didn't steer properly because the servo mounts flexed so much and the car was quite heavy (solution: alloy servo mounts).
Well, thought I would let everyone know Why I haven’t been on here for a while, and the reason being I decided to sell up my collection of Kyosho RC cars.
Not for any major reason, just a number of circumstances that made me decided the time was...
Howdi..
Just starting this restoration of one of my (long awaited) 80's favorites, does anyone know where I can get a new front (left hand side) swing arm?

ebay would be your best bet. Seen some there last week for the landjump while cruising kyosho stuff. They show up once in awhile but sadly most of the time they are listed incorrectly and show up in high dollar lots.
you know, you can cut those mats into little pieces and use them to pad the electronics in your R/C projects! Pro tip! If your girl questions you, just shout PRO TIP
 omg I had to say it outloud I was laughing so hard
It's finally time to get off my duff and do what I've been procrastinating about for far too long. The fun begins. :?
Here we go: three bodies & wings all FasMasked and ready for paint. I decided to spray the FasMask on with a cheap $20 HVLP...

Well Done mate, Liking the mid very much, im sitting on bodies and afraid to crack into them, only used tamiya rattle cans in the past.
Your post is inspiring me to give it a crack.
My Turbo Raid LOVES LIPO. I have a 4,200 and 4,600 mah shorty LIPO battery and they fit perfect (after a little help from my Dremel tool. As the Raider's motor is on the left of the car though, the car was really unbalanced if I put the shorty LIPO...
I'm bored today and somehow got on the Stadium Blitzer. I think it is one of the best looking trucks and one of the best kits from Tamiya. Strong, reliable, cheap, easy to assemble and decent performance. I will never forget as a kid walking into...

^ those are awesome, and they are built off the Falcon chassis correct?
Im interested in what other peoples thoughts are on the classic SUPERSHOT. Sure they aren't exactly the ultimate vintage performer but they look so darn HOT!
Here's mine tearing up the race track with a 19 turn.

Hi all, new to this forum. Been racing on and off since early 80's, and I just picked up a rough gold pan because it was cheap, and I had a itch to get some of my old vintage cars I used to have. I had a new 6000 kit when it first came out, and many...
