A couple items here...

this hoobajoob...looks like maybe something for brushes?
20160404_220823.jpg
20160404_220844.jpg
and this motor plate and pair of covers...the covers are identical except for color. they are very thick plastic, the clear one barely deforms at all when you squeeze it. The plate has a "D E" stamped in it, if that means anything, and the covers fit on this plate. just wondered what vehicle they are from. thanks

I had this down as a Losi Street Weapon chassis..... but having seen a few recently, it appears that I'm mistaken!!!

So... can anyone ID this for me please???

You know what mate, you are correct! A bit of Gooooogling of Yokomo leads me to believe that it's a Yokomo MR-4 Rally chassis.....

Many thanks!!! Will now stick a label on it.... and get ready to sell it off!

The Trinity Experimentals and Monster Horsepower all look to be modifieds, so the could be any wind.. If there are no markings on the can, try pulling the armature to see if there is anything written on it.. Take note of how many pieces of wire join at each comm segment to tell you if its a single, double, triple etc wind..

The no label with ROAR91 is probably a stock motor.

The one hooked to the esc looks to be a Trinity Slot Machine 2 27t stock motor.

With some very helpful old AE catalog scans skunk.werkz sent me (thanks again :) ), and a couple of old Reedy Motor ads I found in the RCCA scans I've pieced together info on my Reedy Modified motor posted above.

To start off I found these two ads in the RCCA "What's New" section. The first was from a 1986 issue and the second is from 1988:

The '86 ad mentions two motors with part numbers that aren't listed in the Ultra series info found on the boards or in the 1990 catalog found on AE's website. (PN:6510 does appear in the PDF but more on that in a minute).

Next in the '88 ad the Ultra series is called "new" and improvements to the magnets, can, and endbell are listed.

From old posts I've read on the boards I had believed that the Reedy Ultra series went all the way back to AE's Edinger years but now I think that's a mistake. There was the Ultra series that came out in '88 and then there were earlier Reedy Modified motors. These earlier motors might have the same green labels (or yellow or red labels), but they sometimes used different end bells and the dots/stars that came on them might not apply to the same specs.

For example, I have another Reedy Modified motor that's got an Edinger addressed green label and a silver dot on it but has the same end bell that a stock blue can RC10 motor has....not the gold shrouded Yokomo branded end bell that's shown in the above ads or on my yellow labeled motor. Before I thought the silver dot meant that the Edinger motor was a 21x2 like the Ultra series motors with a silver dot sticker. I finally opened it up to check and as it turns out it's only using a single wire and has 16 written on the stacks. Granted it could be someone swapped the armature to turn it into a 16x1.

Back to the '86 ad. I wanted to find the specs for the 6510 and 6511 motors so I asked skunk.werks about the old AE catalogs scans he posted awhile back. The original image links had gone dead. He was cool enough to send me copies of an '86 Edinger and an '86 Cadillac catalog. Both motors were listed in them along with a few others. One of which is probably my yellow labeled motor. :) I'm guessing the 6 minute one. PN 6509.

Finally I mentioned above that a PN 6510 appears in the 1990 catalog on AE's website but isn't part of the Ultra Series. Part numbers 6508, 6509, and 6510 from the above Cadillac Catalog clip get re-issued to the later Reedy E-S Ultimate motors that also came out around 1988. These E-S motors don't look like they've got the same specs though.

Thanks!

Alrighty,
the one on the left has a smaller overall armeture, using larged magnets in the can.
single wind, less turns than the one on the right.

its also been balanced and has the mysterious "RD" written with a sharpie.
These motors come with a losi XX that was apparently a state champ way back when.

The one on the right has more turns, single wind.
Nothing special or weird about it.
