My first Edinger

Post by mikea96 »

Got my recently aquired Edinger RC10 in the mail today. Looks like it was maybe ran once and that was it.
It has three smooth wall tires and one Good year tire, would it have come from associated this way? It has futaba s32h servos and futaba receiver. Someone greased the hell out of the rear stub axles so i will tear it all down and clean up. I also noticed it has the A stamp on the underside of the chassis and some hinge clip retainers ive never seen before. I was bummed it only had the one good year tire.

Always baffles me when I see something like this. I mean, who buys a new RC car and runs it once?? Did they lay out all that money and then just decide "it's not for me", and shelf it?

Anyways, nice find, looks sweet.

Those clips are heavy duty, made by a couple places. Parma I think. You can get them from industrial places.

Nice car!

Coulda been a gift some kid bitd was all fired up about and then lost interest in after a couple runs or something like that. I've seen kids toss aside some sweet sh t in the past. Myself included.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

The wiper placement on the servo horn probably kept the fun level to a minimum.

If that is indeed at dead center, then yeh, it woulda sucked. OP what we mean is the wiper on the speed control. At idle it should be all the way right, as it sits it's at half throttle.
