Twice as Lethal 6x4 Truck Conversion
I can't let Daryl have all the fun
From the outside it's a throwback to his truck but this one runs dual Lethal Weapons with off the shelf components instead of the hand built chain drive single motor setup. I also went with buggy components and truck offset wheels. I think the offset wheels fit the trailing arm era better (although the Lethal Weapons are then too new, and shocks are far too modern!)
The plastics were dyed with some Lightspeed Neon Yellow dye.
A few of the aluminum pieces were anodized blue, including the motor plates, trailing arm pivots and slipper hubs which I haven't installed yet. They will match the shocks.

Re: Twice as Lethal 6x4 Truck Conversion
That's rad, dude. Is that just an optical illusion with the rear shock angles? The rears look a little more stood up.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Re: Twice as Lethal 6x4 Truck Conversion
kool!
what electronics you gonna use? especially with the 2 motors/esc?
as far as the lethal weapons being "too new" I'm not thinkin its gonna take away too much from the build

Re: Twice as Lethal 6x4 Truck Conversion
I found a pair of identical stock motors a while back and they would be ok for it, but I might buy a couple cheap modern brushed motors. I have a Titan that was needing a place to call home

That's definitely on the flipside! Wow! What body are you going to use? Something from MadMax with rivets and faded natural steel is what I first envisioned when I saw six wheels.

Back in the day, Daryl spliced two together. I'm not certain which direction I'll go yet but splicing is always an option

Re: Twice as Lethal 6x4 Truck Conversion
That thing is begging for a Ten4 conversion!
Would that make it a Ten6?

Oh that would be cool. And yellow
Wish someone would pop some puller bodies. I could start cutting out the Dually chassis again
