I'm just super jealous because I had to piece together my vintage worlds car (does it even count if it was pieced together?). Hillary got hers handed to her complete, intact, running, and with some really cool bits.

So since we are pretty into the thing now.. is it really that special? I'm new to this world, but seems exciting the way all of you are making this car sound like a pretty cool thing to have. I just literally knew nothing about it and upon doing my own research it seems like it's a pretty cool thing to have. I'm excited for my son to have it when he's older.

How special anything is depends on who you ask. Here you have a bunch of people who are into rc and more specific the RC10 platform. So asking about it here is going to get you a strong and positive response. If you ask on a general rc forum the response may not be as great. And if you ask on a cooking forum I doubt you will get much response at all.Hillarykay wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2017 6:14 pm

That model of the RC10 was pretty much the final revision of the original RC10 that many grew to love before Team Associated released the RC10B2.

Looks good. Just so you aren’t surprised- the speed control is a forward only unit. No reverse. This was common on the racing speed controls. Motor is just a stock class motor, but a good one.

Ok then, there was still some voltage left, which is good

Value/rarity-wise - Here's a recently ended auction on ebay for a car that would fetch a comparable value to yours. It ended at about $170.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Team-Associated-RC10-Worlds-car-vintage-/162708343769?hash=item25e22c4bd9%3Ag%3Af~EAAOSwJmVZ3XIj&nma=true&si=k3iB96rw%252BgE%252B1F8qCjBhd9dJl2U%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
So, yes, it is desirable, but again these cars aren't *that* rare either, I have three or four for instance, including a full black one that is made of parts and still to be built, for instance. Most people on this board who have answered on this thread so far would have at least a couple, too. AE has (supposedly) made as many as 1 million RC10's in various form, and they were tough as bricks

Net - keep it for the pleasure of seeing your kid running it, possibly now with the crappy old batteries that don't go fast (which is better for a youngster!), and don't think about the value

All the best,
Paul
