I've been carefully trimming and mounting a body and have come to the part where I have problems/mess up... the front post. I don't want to mess up at this point because it's coming out really nice.
I look straight down on it and mark the very back edge and the very front edge of the post (this will be a slightly oval hole). Don't project the post at the noseplate angle, project it straight up vertical. I ream my hole dead between those two lines that I draw, and use a dremel to elongate them into a slight oval. Start small and work up to the finished size. The front is always a pita

How about a washer held on with good double sided tape (on the body). Save the magnets for mounting on the car?
my buddy showed his RC10 with the same way to hold the body. he didn't have any special reason on it like traction or some else. just didn't have a body post. and I tried myself too. the angle was bent with a hair dryer. and was quite easy to work...

Has anyone tried mounting a body to the A&L RC10 conversion? The A&L shock tower is significantly taller than the stock one. I'm wondering if there is a specific body that works with this or if a Viper/Protech I or II can be used. Maybe A&L bodies...

I use the same things, mine are Yeah Racing ones. Still needs some measuring inside the body to make sure it's centred before reaming the holes but it does show you exactly where the holes need to be.

Umm my batteries in the shotgun format dont seem to fit very well in the gold chassis I'm building. Length wise they are too long and would never fit in the holder and if i cut the end off the holder the battery will stick out of the end and get too...

I'm old school, and I don't have even 1 stick pack. All my packs, even the ones I just bought a month ago, have been taken apart and assembled into side by side packs.
I also don't own any battery or motor plugs, :D , all my stuff is still hard...
