Steering blocks

Took my old A stamp to the track on Saturday, was great fun. Love how it drives. Lots of roll though!
Thing is, i broke 2 steering blocks just slightly clipping ropes.

Bit of a pain as none seem to be available.

Are there any other options for new steering blocks?
How would it effect how it drives if i fitted inline blocks?
Could i still run jellybean wheels with the axles needed for inline blocks?

Or, does anyone know a source for rere trailing steering blocks?

Any alloy options available?

Everything else seems to be holding up for now!

Dhawk makes some aluminum ones. However it will just transfer the break to the next weakest part. Gotta stay off those boards.

That rope is going to be bad no matter what. So many edges to grab. Where I run, they use pvc pipes which is usually good, but once in a while you rub where there is a coupler and-----bang. It will rip the a-arm and or anything attached right off our cars. Aluminum wouldn't be necessarily be a bad option, especially if they are more readily available, but as stated above, the real answer is to keep off those ropes.

I do normally keep off the ropes, but every now and then a slight clip is going to happen. Surely a snapped steering block cant be accepted every time you clip!
Its old plastics, even though they were boiled. Just too brittle.
It has rere wheels now as the centre ripped out one of the fronts just cornering.

Think i got maybe 10 mins running before a low speed clip on the inside of a hairpin apex snapped one block. Fitted a spare and that lasted maybe 5 mins. Bumped a rope slightly then it let go turning into the next corner.

If i fit alloy ones i am slightly concerned about the caster blocks.

I appreciate its always a risk driving old cars, its not my only vintage a drive on track. But this rc10 is making my vintage super astute seem like its indestructible! Even my vanquish holds up.
Im sure some new rere blocks would solve it, but not available.
I can get inlines by the looks of it, but how will that effect the handling?

Though I'm not sure about fitment, could B4 ASC9581 trailing blocks be a solution?
They are readily available from Amain and others. Not sure about axels and exact geometry.
I have used inline B4 blocks on a few of my cars and they seem to work OK.

Just a thought.

Looks like it's possible.
Anyone know for sure? Or if they could be modified?
They are cheap enough, might order some and see if they can be made to work.
